My spouse & I booked this trip hoping for a relaxing getaway, especially after dealing with some difficult health issues. Unfortunately, what we got was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had—we’ve been to many all-inclusives.
From the moment we arrived, it was chaos. It took over 30 minutes just to check in, & we were given zero guidance on how anything worked. For the entire first day, we were left to figure things out on our own, constantly having to ask employees questions—& feeling like we were annoying them.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire time, & when we asked if there was another option, we were told no (although oddly enough, a better Wi-Fi was revealed to us on the last day—too little, too late). Not being able to use our phones made everything harder, especially since the resort’s system is confusing & inconsistent.
We paid for the all-inclusive package, but it hardly felt that way. Every meal required signing a check. Service was painfully slow—often taking 40 minutes to 2 hours to get food or drinks, plus another 20–30 minutes to get the check. Even getting a bottle of water was a hassle, w/staff telling us we had to go to the bar instead of giving us one at the front desk.
We couldn’t get good sleep because the guests above us were constantly moving furniture or stomping around at all hours. There was no peace & quiet. The fridge in our room could only be refilled twice a day, which is ridiculous for an all-inclusive.
