Nice size of the room, comfortable beds and silent location. Extra plus for the coffe, tea and fridge. The breakkfast was unfortunately overprized and sad. The hot meals were cold and the selection of food did not meat up with the price.

The room was very warm at night, so we turned the cooling on and left for the day, hoping it would be cool when we returned for the evening. We returned to an oven! We were told at the front desk that the cooling was seasonal and we only had heating available in the room, so the best we could do was open the window, which only opened about 4 inches.....not enough to cool the room over night but enough to let the noise in and keep us awake all night!

As we did not have breakfast we are unable to comment. The outer building is very attractive wth lots of character. A pleasant entrance although the reception desk which is off to the side & not facing visitors; initially out of view. We were too early to check-in but offered a safe place to keep our luggage, though we did not require this service as we had relatives staying at the hotel. When we came to check-in later, we experienced a slight unfriendliness, were given passkeys to our room after some mix up with paperwork at the desk. Upon entering the allocated room, it appeared to be already occupied. This could have been an extremely embarrasing situation had the occupier been in the room; thankfully they were not! Back to reception we explained the situation to the same young woman on the desk, we were asked some questions in an abrupt, unfriendly manner & after spending a lot of time at the computer she allocated us another room, not before she blamed the error on her co worker. We found all this very unprofessional when a sincere apology & an aim to please, would have gone a long way. This was dissappointing. However, the overnight stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean but in need of updating, especially the bathrooms. Most hotels have walk-in showers but here they have bathtubs with shower, beware, the bathtubs are very high-sided. The location is great for Earl's Court Station & a variety of restaurants within walking distance.

This is an old hotel. Main window could not be fully closed, so it let cold air to get into the room. As a result, I got sick with a bad cold. Hotel staff was very helpful. They offered us to relocate to a lower-rated room in the basement, which we declined.

The air-conditioning and heat worked well. The room was cleaned daily unless you kept the do not disturb on. The room was fully serviced including replenishment of coffee and cookies which was nice. The staff were always helpful and polite.

Love this hotel — stay here every time we visit London. Perfect neighborhood - so walkable, and close enough to the tube as well. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The location is good. Our room had a very nice and comfortable bed. The shower had excellent water pressure. It was very clean. On the other hand, our room was in the very odd place with stairs, where my husband with his bad knees could barely walk up and down. The receptionist did not ask us if only stairs are ok for us.

Terrible experience. The bed and pillows are awful. I was on the third floor, but the lift broke down while I was there. There was no action by the hotel to inform me or to change me to a room on a lower floor. I had to stay three nights walking up and down the stairs. I will not recommend this place. The location is good, but there are plenty of hotels around.
