There were shops nearby, public transport walkable. We had booked a premium twin with a window and we got the basement room with no window. We insisted on a change and were able to get a new room the next day by helpful staff

Not at all what I was picturing based on the pictures when I booked it. Floor was gross carpet with some stains, bathroom kept smelling like sewage. Based on the pictures when I booked I expected it to be much nicer. It was fairly clean and safe area. Was just deceived as it’s not what I thought I was booking otherwise it was a okay hotel and felt safe here

Better than I expected.

It was better than I expected, the place is very close to Paddington train station. We arrived early and we were allowed to go to our room as it was already available. Very friendly staff, very clean.

Stayed here on a budget trip with 3 other individuals. Good price for budgeting folks, but not comfortable or convenient as far as stay. No fridge, microwave. No air condition, handy during the summer. Beds were ok but you get what you pay for. Somewhat near certain rail stations which is good. Front desk relatively friendly. Overall not the best but not the worst. Will recommend for single travelers on a budget.

Perfunctory and non too friendly welcome. Previous guests’ towels left inside cupboards. Remote control on ground behind bed. No fridge. No BBC TV channels, just a few random freeview channels. Noisy above from smoking area. Certainly not good value for money. Would not recommend it.

Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location We had a very unpleasant experience at The Chapter Leisure Inn. Upon check-in, we were given a first-floor room that was clearly not remodeled — everything felt dingy, stained, and dirty. It was in no condition for a family stay, and I refused to accept it. After initially being told that all rooms were booked and nothing else was available, the front desk eventually offered to show us another 4-person room on the third floor. While we appreciated the effort, the room was incredibly small — barely enough space for our luggage — and uncomfortably hot. The window wouldn’t stay open on its own and slammed shut loudly after a short while. We had to wedge a pillow under it just to reduce the noise and avoid being startled every time it closed on its own. Overall, it was a miserable and uncomfortable stay. On the positive side, the staff were polite, and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the property left much to be desired. I would not recommend staying here unless the hotel undergoes major renovations and maintenance improvements.
