Small hotel in funky neighborhood. Close to train. No front door key (buzz staff to be let in. Surly bloke in office seemed to resent having to answer and fling open the door with attitude - simple solution: give guests a key). Small basic room at top of steep narrow staircase, no lift. Older furniture, no A/C, fridge, luggage racks, milk, or water. Shower area and water stream barley large enough to be usable. Water temp idiosyncratic. Would I stay here again? No.

Good location for kings Cross and St Pancras, and Tube and buses are nearby. For the price this is a very good reliable place to stay - simple but very clean

The area was shockingly noisy. Not only were there people about at all hours, there was also construction on the road outside at 6 am and jack hammering that started at 8:45 PM. The stairs were very steep and narrow and there was no elevator; however staff couldn't really help much with luggage as they could not leave the front desk. It felt very dangerous to be taking suitcases up and down the stairs. Further, the shower took almost 10 min of running water to warm up. This wasted an extreme amount of water, much to my dismay. The beds were quite squeaky, the windows were single pane, and with no ability to control room temperature, we slept in our sweaters on top of our pj's.

One problem I have with this property is that it was not accessible. My daughter have to walk with a walk-in stick, and it was inconvenient for her. Also, the fact that we have no washroom in our room it was not very accessible for her and for me, but overall experience was good, the property is located in a excellent location.

Would stay again for future trips

Stayed here for a visit to theatre on strand and good walking distance to this and many other central locations including british museum and Euston station. Great place to eat about 100 yards down the street with amazing value and quality. Staff within hotel were helpful with filling water, advising where to go, assistance with check in, and we awere able to leave luggage before check in tome and afterncheck out to avoid taking around with us. Although some decor is a little dated as they make clear, room was spacious enough, warm and clean with fan provided in very hot period. Separate bathroom down stairs with no lift but if this isnt a problem then it is a decent size with generous shower, tea and coffee downstairs is good and on a quiet street

They let you know in advance there's no elevators and bathrooms in the rooms, that turns inconvenient when you go back to the hotel exhausted and when you need a bathroom at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, other than that it's a great place to stay

Great hotel and location

This hotel had very friendly and accommodating staff. It was a great location near several restaurants and shops. And a few bus stops. I would have liked the rooms to be cleaned more thoroughly.
