Weekend Away.

We stayed in room 305 which was at the top of the hotel. No lift, 3 flights of stairs...so if mobilly impaired then ask for a lower level. The bathroom was tiny and the door did not close , as not fitted correctly. The room was warm, there was no air con but the window opened as that was fine. It was clean and pretty comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the continental breakfast was good. It was however, perfectly situated for where we wanted to be. Pretty quiet at night. Lovely Italian restaurant and wine bar around the corner from the hotel.

Poor Hotel

Uneasy to check in, the system is asking for reservation number sent in email address, however, there's no reservation number instead an itinerary number. Therefore, I entered this number, however, it's not bring recognised by the system. On positive note, the staff is accommodating. The room has no enough space to move around, although I booked for a room good for one, I was not expecting that the size of my room is like a prison. The bedside table is not clean, very dusty. I believe they forgot to clean it. Or maybe, I'm expecting too much hence I checked in very late, before 12midnight. The ceiling is not well managed. The sink is too small where my hands are constantly touched the faucet when washing. There's no enough space in between the toilet bowl and the sink, I must sit on the toilet slightly different. The bed is not the usual single bed but the size is like a trolley in Emergency Room or Theatre where there's no space for you to move or reposition. I'm too tired and I don't want to stress myself therefore, I didn't ask for a replacement of my room. My goal is just to sleep hence I need to wake up early to attend the conference, which is the reason I visited London.

I really am enjoying my stay in this hotel. My trip has been extended due to a winter storm and the hotel immediately accommodated my ask for an additional night. I am staying in the same room and the rate was cheaper than other nights here. The rooms are very small and cramped; however, this is typical of British hotels and especially London. Actually, my room looks bigger in person than on the photos and I have a small single room. Service is great. Daily, the staff clean your room and since my trip was delayed, I have been fortunate to be able to work on my computer in the breakfast room.

The staff was very friendly. Even helped me plan my sightseeing as I was traveling solo and hadn't planned much in advance. It is closer to Tottenham Station and bus stop, so connectivity is excellent. It was safe to walk around alone in the areas. I used to come back by 10 though.

This is the best, reasonably priced place I have stayed in London so far. It’s a brilliant location, it’s quiet and we couldn’t even hear the tube, it’s clean, the beds are comfortable, our room (305) was perfect for my mum and I, the staff are friendly and the breakfast was good. It’s such a nice street with a lot of history, and nearby Store Street was lovely. Also, enjoyed having late night shopping on Tottenham Court Road and at Waterstones on Gower St. It is a nice 20 minute walk to the Charles Dickens Museum and so close to Oxford Street too. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be staying with you again in the future and I will recommend you to everyone.

The room itself, whilst small was sufficient for a one night stay. However, only in return to the room late in the evening did it become apparent that the air con was inoperative, as a result the room was very hot. Also on searching for the TV remote (missing) numerous toe nail clippings and dust particles etc were behind the bed. The room clearly had not been cleaned properly. Photo evidence was provided to reception.

In our room there was no information about breakfast: hot or cold ? Cooked or Continental ? Also, there needed to be clearer Fire Escape instructions. Some local information would have been useful-nearest tube, bus stop, local sights etc. There was not much of a welcome when we arrived. The receptionist stayed in her seat. A lounge area for guests would have been great. Very quiet area-perhaps we were lucky ? No traffic noise and we slept well. Also, it felt a safe area.

For the location, the Bloomsbury is great. The bed was super comfy. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was great. My only negative would be that, due to being on the ground floor I was woken a few times by comings and goings through the night. I would recommend a stay here, just maybe ask for a room on an upper floor if a light sleeper.

Triple room on first floor

Bit tight for space for 3 adults but adequate. Kettle coffee etc. but really tiny cups. Fan was handy although the window did open fully which is unusual. Shower ok. Toiletries provided. Free safe in wardrobe Complimentary breakfast good. Cereals toast juice pastries , replenished ifren. room was only small with 6 tables but nice.
