The location was great because it was a short walk to the Chionin Temple (just turn left on Jingu-Michi) and the old quarters of Kyoto, but it was quiet and felt out of the most congested areas. We loved walking around at night. Breakfast was delicious. Umbrellas were provided on rainy days, room amenities were useful! Thank you!

Excellent hotel, VERY walkable to a multitude of shrines and traditional landmarks. Also walking distance from a very nice shopping district and market. Highly recommend.

The Hotel Higashiyama is an attractive and modern accommodation. It's is situated in a nice part of Kyoto within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!
