I found this property to be a in a hood location being 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. The supply of cafe machine in the foyer was also a bonus supplying free beverages from 6 am to 11 pm. I would recommend anyone booking here make sure you have slip on footwear, as you have to remove them in the hotel. I had lace up joggers and found this a little time consuming as there were often people taking up the available seating in the foyer. Being a senior with arthritis, I need to be seated to put my joggers on. Bedding very firm and pillows very hard, but surprisingly very comfortable.

The overall onsen experience felt a bit contrived. This is a very big, very new hotel. Not an authentic experience. Check-in is pure insanity, with the number of people coming in and out. The same for breakfast buffet. But it is nearly new so very clean and in great shape! I doubt that will last with the volume of people they are moving, though…

Friendly staffs, great amenities, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed the hot spring bath aka. Onsen. They have an all you can eat breakfast which is a must try. This hotel located not too far from Kyoto station so it is walkable. Overall, we have a good experience staying at this hotel.

Full range of services, comfortable stay.
Coffee and macha machine at reception was available for most of the day. There was free priobiotic drink from 8 - 10 am. There is the public onsen from 3 pm - 5 am. The onsen has a water dispenser, cotton buds and pads, moisturising lotion, hair brush. You can take a free ice cream stick after your onsen, and use the massage chair (1 is spoilt, 2 are always in use). Half a ramen bowl, and drink dispensers are available for supper 9 - 11 pm. The drip coffee packet provided in the room is good too! They provide hairband, cotton pads and buds, comb, shaver, toothbrush, shower cap, and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the room. You will have to take off your shoes before entering the hotel, and the luggage's wheels will have to be cleaned before it can be rolled into the hotel. You place your shoes in a locker. So you will feel that the hotel is very clean. I liked the full range of services and that it felt very clean. What I didn't like about it was that it was always crowded with tourists, and I am not sure if the onsen are kept clean by them. I come out of the onsen smelling slightly of chorine, even after showering. I might prefer to go to proper onsen towns which are less populated.

Do not get fooled by the entrance, this is a very big hotel. Upon arrival you need to store your shoes in a small locker. Luggagewheels are desinfected, as the whole hotel is covered by tatami’s. The check-in is fairly busy, there are a lot of group bookings here (also loads of luggage in the lobby). The rooms are small, as is the bathroom, but we loved the walk-in shower. Beds are reasonably comfortable, but Japanese like rocklike pillows. We did nut use the Onsen, too many different people to be convinced about hygiene. But that is a personal opinion, no experience. Breakfast is very busy, but there is ample choice. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to Kyoto station. So all in all a good place to stay in Kyoto
