The hotel is clean, well-located, and offers excellent service and breakfast. However, be cautious when booking a Tatami Twin Room. These rooms are located above the hotel’s wastewater treatment area. The pump noise is constant and makes the terrace unusable—you won’t be able to leave the door open at night. I also encountered a loud, high-pitched whistling sound in both the 2nd and 5th floor corner rooms, caused by wind blowing through gaps in the sliding glass doors. Another guest had the same issue. The only workaround was wedging an object in the door frame to stop the sound. If you book a different room type, you’ll likely have a much more comfortable stay.

Wonderful hotel and a very pleasant stay. Excellent rooms/ very clean and modern bathroom. Nicely decorated rooms and well lit. Staff very friendly. Good quality amenities provided with new towels and drinking water provided daily. Nespresso machine in room with tea/sugar/pods. Excellent selection at breakfast buffet and very high quality food. Serves Asian/Japanese food and English/American/Continental breakfast well. Long service until 1030am. Hotel features many amenities including washing machine, drinks dispenser, microwave and has hot spring facilities. Just across the road from Kyoto station so easy to plan day trips on Shinkansen. Hotel is near a mall with a food court as well. A very pleasant and excellent stay. This hotel is worth booking as it offers a very good product and worth paying the extra money. I would give it 5 Star rating and have recommended hotel to many who are planning a trip to Japan/Kyoto.

The hotel was just steps away from the south exits of JR Kyoto Station. Our room was very clean and quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. And I strongly recommend the hotel buffet breakfast. Food taste, selection, presentation and service were all excellent!

The hotel is Superb!

It was a very relaxing stay at such a beautiful hotel with great services. The location is excellent! We would love to go back to the hotel the next time we are in Kyoto.

Excellent stay at this hotel, our original room was too small for a family of 3 so we upgraded to another room with traditional Japanese beds which was a cool experience. Location can’t be beat, just outside of Kyoto station. Hotel is well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only wish is that it had a gym but otherwise great stay

2 adults stayed in Smart Double Room for 2 nights. Upon walking into the hotel, it smells very nice! The rooms are small if you lay out 2 luggage on the floor, but otherwise still okay for 2 people. Pajamas are provided. They provided us with fresh towels everyday and bottles of water which we were grateful for to stay hydrated. You could claim one free drink from the restaurant everyday. The lemon drink was good for a Vitamin C boost against sickness! It is located less than 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station which made it very convenient for travelling around Kyoto. There are also shopping options and restaurants in the station. There is a convenience store located across the hotel, making picking up snacks and withdrawing money very easy. Staff were very friendly and spoke English well and informed us of everything we needed to know and locate our room. There is a public hotel spa included. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. Thank you!
