Amazing experience from start to finish. An extremely authentic and comfortable stay with top notch food, impeccable service from the owners and their staff! An hour out from the city, but the bus ride is an incredibly scenic route once you’re out the bustling chaos. Would love, love, love to stay here again in the future!
The ryokan was beautiful and the experience was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and caring. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Magical, simply magical. That is the only way to describe this place. From arrival to egress, the people there made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Breakfast and Dinner were served everyday and you do NOT want to miss them. I'm a large guy and I thought I wouldn't get full, I was wrong. The Ryokan is immaculate and the grounds are spectacular. We had planned to spend a day in Kyoto but we spend so much time wandering around the shrines, shops, cafes, and coffee houses we never made it into the city. This place was perfect. I can't recommend it enough!
This Ryokan is exceptional, the baths, the food, the property, and the kind staff! It was such a restful and peaceful time and a great way to tap into nature before heading back to the busy city.
we had an amazing time at Seryo!! the staff was immediately incredibly welcoming and showed us all the amenities and our wonderful room with a perfect garden view. the food was incredible and they even adjusted everything to be vegan for me!! we unfortunately had a less than desired experience at a different ryokan right after our perfect experience at Seryo which just affirmed that Seryo was the right decision!! highly recommend and would love to go back again in the future!
Me and my partner had an amazing experience here. The workers were extremely helpful and made wonderful hosts. We felt taken care of at every step of the way. I would love to come back any time I am in Kyoto.
the staff was very friendly and welcoming! The kyokan was absolutely beautiful and the full course meal for dinner was delicious!my private onsen with the mountain view was spectacular! Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Japan
The property has some of the most stunning views and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The food was magnificent and me and my wife loved our private onsen. It gave a much needed break from an otherwise busy vacation.
This is by far the most beautiful and relaxing hotel we stayed at while in Japan. Highly recommend this experience. The pictures do not do this place justice. It’s stunning and so well kept.
The Hot Pot, Shabu Shabu dinner was also the best meal we had during our entire trip!
We had a great stay at Seryo for one night. The service and food were outstanding. The only downside is that the rooms can get cold quickly, but the futon and comforters were very warm and there’s also AC if you need it. Just a heads-up: this is a traditional Japanese inn with public baths separated by gender, and bathing is done nude.
Everything at this Ryokan was top notch. Excellent service, delicious traditional meals and immaculately clean facilities. The staff is very kind and helpful- they speak English well and have all answers to your questions. Onsen is beautiful and very clean
The ryokan was absolutely wonderful. It was authentic Japan culture and style in an a breathtaking location. The food was an elaborate 11 coarse meal that was delicious Japanese cuisine. The whole stay was a a glimpse of Japanese culture and tradition. I highly recommend for the cultural tourist.
