The staff was amazing and they have weekly events that we got to participate in! It was so much fun and in the perfect location to walk to many food places and shops and a short walk to the train station! I would stay here over and over again!

I am shocked that there are good reviews for this hotel at this price-point. They do not clean the rooms, both during your stay and apparently generally. This is presented to guests as an “eco-friendly” practice, however everything in the room is packaged in plastic, so clearly this is just a cost-saving measure. Our room was dirty and dusty upon check-in, dark, and nearly impossible for two people to move around in. We did not even end up staying one night, and the front desk did not care enough to ask why we were checking out 15 mins after check-in, and only said there are no refunds. I think if you can find this hotel for $150 a night and want to be in the middle of chaos (or don’t mind) then this hotel is probably fine. We paid over $300 and the lack of cleanliness alone was enough to leave.

We stayed here during our honeymoon. We would absolutely go back again! It’s in a central location. The room itself was on the smaller side, but the staff was amazing and the amenities were great. We did laundry on site very easily. Every staff member we spoke to were kind.

The room was comfortable and nice. There were a lot of amenities in the hotel and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately we left our nice camera in the room when we checked out, even though we realized a few hours after leaving, it was not able to be found and returned to us.

The location of the hotel was phenomenal. Walking distance to nishiki market, Pontocho alley, Gion, the transit lines. The staff here were exceptional and would highly recommend the Resol Kyoto kawaramachi.

This was one of our favorite hotels we stayed at. Very clean, smelled so good every time we walked in, and the staff and amenities were great at well. It is a hidden gem in downtown Kyoto close to shopping and so many other things to do. We found it very convenient for our stay.

Hotel provides any common bathroom amenity you would need in the lobby. Very easy to grab what you need whenever. The lobby included a coffee machine that is free to use. The staff will provide you will fresh clean towels every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
