Close to Kyoto station but the room is a bit more compact than expected AND its layout is horrendous…doesn’t optimize the little space it has as compared to other APA hotels. Would suggest looking at other options if you can.

Great location. The check in gets VERY busy at peak times. The Onsen is not tattoo friendly which made me miss out on this amenity. Comfy beds, small room but has the essentials.

A room with a bed

The hotel in general was nice. The issue i had was the room was literally a bed in a room. You had to put your luggage under the bed and there was barely enough room for 1 person to move around in it. The public bath was really nice and the central location was great. When you did interact with the staff they were really nice and helpful.

The room was small, but that is expected for an APA hotel. The bathroom was so small that my friend bumped his head while using the toilet. Otherwise, the room was clean. There was no room for our luggage, except under the beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. The public bath was delightful, according to my friend. If you are looking for a room to relax in, this is not your best bet. But, of you are looking for a nice place to sleep, no extras in the room, and a true "onsen", then this is perfect.

This property is pretty much right where you want to be for a good base of operations. Did not spend much time inside the hotel but the onsen was perfect m. Suggest doing it twice a day like they recommend and it makes you feel refreshed and rejuvenated. As for getting everywhere there’s buses taxis and trains very close by. Kyoto station is a 5-7 minute walk and there’s so much to do and see. Highly recommend

Perfect hotel right by the railway station

Very happy with our stay at APA. Easy check in, could leave our bags as we arrived early.bStaff friendly and professional. Room size was small of course but not as bad as anticipated. The bed was king size and very comfortable! Very clean. Clean towels dropped off each day. Quiet. Highly recommend and would stay again.

The room was small, but very comfortable and functional. There are no closets or dressers so your luggage is stored under the beds. Some toiletries are provided such as toothbrush/toothpaste, razor, shampoo/conditioner, and bodywash. The hotel is conveniently located a block from Kyoto Station which has many shops and restaurants inside. Several 7-Elevens, Familymarts, and Lawsons' are located nearby. My only issue was the wait for an elevator during peak hours of check-outs. Although there are 3 small elevators, we waited over 10 minutes for an elevator on a Sunday morning.

Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and very helpful with arranging the luggage transfer. They have a public bath, but unfortunately we were not able to utilize them due to large tattoos. (Must be able to cover with, at most, two 10x12cm stickers) we had a double room with king bed. Room was larger than others that we’ve stayed in, it had plenty of floor space for me to have three suitcases open as I repacked our clothes and many purchases. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was less than five minute walk from Kyoto station, plenty of restaurants around, and had a 7/11 across the street.

Good location.woukd not stay again

The hotel is good location. You can open the window. No heat control on the room. Toom was extremely small for a king. Elevator service was dismal. I would not stay again.
