We loved this hotel because it was convenient, clean, and easy to access. The only thing that I would say that I didn’t like was the smoke smell on the area to enter the elevator because the smoke room was right next to it.

All about this hotel was good except for the size of the room. At least the one we got had absolutely no space to even open a suitcase. The bed took 90% of the space in the room. Other than that, location, service, and food would be its strongest points.

It’s very clean and well kept! This hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the central part of Kyoto like Gion Kawaramachi so you can save on taxis as well. Didn’t use the subway so not sure how accessible it is from that POV. I recommend :)

The space is limited. The first room that we were assigned had a strong curry smell. We were then moved to a different room with no view.

The hotel looks much better in pictures. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong smell of smoke coming from a smoking room right next to the lobby and elevator, and the smell carried throughout. The room was very small and felt cramped. There was no proper place for luggage, and the space under the bed was inconvenient since you’d have to pull your suitcase out each time. There are no space to unpack clothes at all.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean & modern, spacious lobby with free luggage storage, spacious dining room area to chill and have free drinks in the afternoon, loved the Japanese public bath and other common amenities on the 2nd floor, walkable to train stations and shops
5 steps from the door and there's the bed! 3 person room with raised platform beds
Can't sit in between bed and desk if you're literally a fat person
I guess this is a Japanese style bed??? Luggage storage under the bed. Won't work if you have oversized American luggages!
