Lovely spacious rooms we had a little private garden space. Huge bathroom nd comfy bed, close to konbini and labo ramen which is a must visit. Close to public transport and quiet area

The hotel itself was lovely, clean and has such a relaxing vibe. The staff was amazing and super knowledgeable about the area and recommendations were spot on. 10/10 recommend for solo and couples, very cozy! Will be back next year!

Modern hotel in proximity to Kyoto historic centre

Kyotology offers a very clean, modern stay with excellent facilities. As a semi-automated hotel, staff presence is limited, but the check-in process is smooth and efficient. The hotel is located about 15–20 minutes from the centre of Kyoto, making it convenient while still in a quieter area. A great choice if you value modern design, cleanliness, and a more independent style of stay, and if you don’t mind walking around and using public transport.

A little far from all the shops but if you’re looking for a quiet environment with great amenities and staff that is eager and willing to help please check Kyotology out. Definitely choosing this hotel when I come back.

Even though the location was not as centrally located as we thought, it was still convenient enough to get to many attractions. This was a beautiful property and staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

This was a gem of a find! For a minute there I had some regrets staying further out from Kyoto Tower area, but the commute was easy. It's next to a few metro and bus station stops, and there's plenty of Luup e-bikes and scooters to rent. I highly recommend this as biking around Kyoto was one of the highlights of my trip. Just be sure to set up your account before you go e-sim only. Anyways, back to the hotel. It was super spacious (i did w/bathtub), not only for Japan, but in general, and clean. Perfect for my 6 day stay. I've had problems with noisy hotels lately, not here. Very peaceful. Free quality coffee, tea, use of umbrellas, microwave, toaster oven. Sometimes there will be an attendant at the desk. All in all I would 100000% book here again.

Just remember to read the description of the Hotel it is not staffed 24/7. You can call someone in case of a problem. Just don’t take it out on the cleaning crew.
