Coolamon Apartments - Surfers Paradise Hotels

Coolamon Apartments

10-16 Genoa Street, Surfers Paradise - Map
Although pleased with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the apartment I was very disappointed to have a full oven and a hotplate with four rings but no cookware to place in the oven and only a small frying pan and one saucepan to use on the hotplate.

"Room laid out well - good washing ironing cooking "
Central location - service station close by with good range of basics (bread, milk etc). Bit shocked to see AC cost extra - a big no no. Check in was a little difficult - couldn't hear the phone - handed to 21 year old - same problem - couldn't hear.

"Accommodation close to Crown Plaza convention room"
For what I wanted to be close to Crown Plaza it was great - motel was very very basic though clean and bed comfortable - many stairs and not offer of assistance with luggage - I had to ask for room to be serviced eg clean towels which was done immediately. For my purposes it was OK - would I stay there again - only if I was desperate which I was in the first place

"Clean and tidy with a tram stop right outside."
Quite a walk from Caville Ave (3 tram stops), and set 2 blocks back from the beach. We did have a fairly good view of the beach, with a lovely sea breeze. Our access card had to be re-programmed twice and the staff were always friendly, polite and efficient. Check in was at 3pm with a late check out at 11am, which suited us better.

"Nice and convenient hotel"
The hotel was very nice and comfortable, bit of mould in some areas but I'm not fussed. Only criticism would be a bit pricey. Lovely view though. Would stay again

Breakers North Absolute Beach - Surfers Paradise Hotels

Breakers North Absolute Beach

50 Old Burleigh Road, Surfers Paradise - Map
We had a lovely stay. My main complaint would be that a couple of male staff members were constantly smoking in the hotel grounds. It's a dreadful look and really spoilt the impression we had of what was otherwise a lovely place to stay. One of the reception staff (young lady with 2 small kids) was exceptionally helpful and polite. The spa railing really needs fixing.

"Nice pool and spa area. Short walk to beach."
Great hotel. Went away with friends - found it odd that the hotel asked for all guests to "sign it" when we were three married couples. Old signs up saying spa wasn't working but thankfully it was. Great views. Two of the bedrooms in the three bedroom apartment were smaller than thought but still very comfortable.

Kirra Beach was famous amongst surfers in its heyday. Home to Queensland’s first surf club, many surfing greats trained in and around these salty blue waters. Today there are three surf lifesaving clubs, which still run ‘little nipper’ events for the kids and major surf comps for the adults. You might even catch a glimpse of them from the shores. While the conditions have changed dramatically since the early days, Kirra Beach is still a great spot for surfing. And some days, depending on the conditions, it’s magnificent!

If surfing isn’t your style, the beach here is gorgeous and clean, perfect for sunbaking and strolling along the water’s edge. Why not pack a picnic, get your hands on a beach umbrella, and lay out on your towel all day long? Isn’t that what beach holidays are all about? With trained lifeguards on patrol, you can take a dip and cool down knowing there’s an extra set of eyes making sure you keep your head above water.

Just behind the beach there’s a path leads all the way to Coolangatta Beach and Greenmount Beach, which is a lovely sheltered spot beneath the Greenmount headland. It also winds its way to Rainbow Bay, a quiet beach ideal for families.

Keen to see more of the coast on your Kirra holiday? It’s an easy drive north along the Pacific Motorway to the theme parks, or you can head down across the border towards the gorgeous northern NSW beaches. Following the coastal route, the Gold Coast Highway will zip you straight up to Surfers Paradise in just 30 minutes and Burleigh Heads is just 15 minutes away.

With awesome beaches, great surf, and a real local vibe that’s hard to find on the Gold Coast, wot’s not to love about Kirra? Get in and book your Kirra accommodation with us and start packing the togs and sunscreen.
