Don't stay here!!!! Complete rip off!!! Room wasn't clean, bathroom was dirty. To charge $350 a night for a room like that should be illegal!!

Hotel had some issues with the housekeeper and we got our room first at 4.30 pm! During this time we sit hungry in the foyer without food and drinks. Kitchen restaurant was closed. On the end we got keys and voucher for drinks ( small bier ) Rooms were cleaned but overall was dusty, the carpet was filthy next to beds and balcony door broke. This hotel needs a proper renovation. Dinner was from 6pm with a buffet. The food was great but unfortunately already cold. This place is amazing but time stopped 30 years ago and nothing changed since. For this price per night I was expecting clean room and warm food.

The hotel was great. Restaurant was nice though no alternative other than the buffet. I was most concerned about the checkin delays. Checkin time is from 3pm. I was delayed unti 4.50pm to checkin as the room had not been cleaned. What made it even more distressing was seeing many many people, uncluding at least three bus loads of people checkin when we were not permitted. The staff kept saying it would be 15 minutes, several times So we waited in the carpark in the heat. Had they said initially it would be 2 hrs We would have gone sight seeing. There response was the previous week they were still checking people in at 6.30. This was said inferring my experience was not so bad. Though really it only made the hotel look even worse to me.

The hotel entrance creates a good impression. However the rooms, judging by the one we were given, are in urgent need of upgrade and do not offer what one would expect for the cost, even allowing for the relative remoteness of the location. The smorgasbord dinner meals were reasonable but not spectacular. Can't comment on how the hotel compares with its competitors in Jabiru. It may be the best of a mediocre lot, and is expensive.

We were disappointed with our stay. For the amount we paid, beds were not made. Bins were not emptied in our room - we stayed 3 nights and were overflowing by the end of our stay. Towels were dirty and not changed each day. Our dishes (2 cup were used) not cleaned, just turned upside down and put away again. Toilet paper was running on rations as not replaced and nobody in reception to assist. The fridge was tiny so we couldn't keep enough bottled water cold for the next day. Overall the room was dirty.. The pool was nice but we noticed some paper in the bottom which wasnt cleaned up the entire time.. The restuarant didnt cater to children when we were there. Only 3 of everything was provided when we booked and paid for 4 people.. overall very disappointing stay. I understand there isnt much competition in Jabiru but the amount they charge is ridiculous for what is provided.

The design of the building and the art centre were unique. The facility is however run down and in need of a thorough clean especially all of the air conditioning vents. Our room was not serviced during our two night stay and after getting back late after a huge day exploring Kakadu we were locked out of our room with no apology for the inconvenience. With the high room rate I was expecting better service.
