Decent breakfast in a no-balcony hotel

Overall, this was a great hotel at a perfect location to transportation and the beach. Breakfast each day varied slightly and sometimes was more lukewarm in temperature than I would prefer for eggs and bacon, but they had options for a variety of tastes including turkey sausage. The rooms were average to small in size and had no balcony, but were updated and had good multi-use pieces like a slideable table with adjustable height. The pool and hot tub were great, as was the other 5th floor amenities like putt putt golf and chess.

Small room, but a clear view of the ocean by luck. Close to all shops & restaurants. Beach is maybe a ten minute walk. The breakfast for what it is, saved us a lot of money, it is decent stuff. Only issue is parking, either pay $50 if the lot isn’t full at the hotel or park further away and walk which is what we chose to do.

Traveling alone with my toddler son and felt safe in the entire hotel facility. Staff is helpful, place is clean and feels like being kinda in an all inclusive resort with the pool, spa, mini bar, gaming room and free breakfast. Our room was nice and cozy, maybe small but that is pretty much Waikiki average room space. We liked have our fridge, microwave and coffee maker to have some cozy time without stepping out of the room. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. Definitely the best choice if you are traveling with your kids. Loved it and will definitely come back to Waikiki and will reserve again without a doubt at this hotel. Thank you Holiday Inn Express for making this vacation even more enjoyable!

Family vacation

The staff were great and very knowledgeable. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. We did have an issue with obnoxious guests one night outside our room. I called down to the lobby and they alerted security. The noise stopped a few minutes later. But our overall stay was pleasant. Wonderful location too.

The parking rate was pretty high. Our bed sheets had a big stain on them as well.

Rooms were very small. Parking is $50 a day. Excellent if you are on a very tight budget. We were next to a family that went out of door all day and night with a loud screaching door. Management could not fix it because do not disturb sign for a week. Noticed the sign was removed and then still was not fixed

All seemed fine. The house keeping service was not always efficient. Sometimes they would change the bed, sometimes they would put thing in reverse, nothing serious. When I was leaving, I noticed garbage under the beds that had clearly not been cleaned prior to my arrival. The breakfast was great, I just wish that you would have some fresh cut fruit, and not only oranges and bananas. But overall great.

You even get a decent free breakfast!

For the price, great! The AC worked wonderfully and the bed was very comfortable. The area is a bit far from the main downtown Waikiki center, but for the price difference it was worth it! You even get a decent free breakfast! The people working there were very friendly and I would definitely stay there again.

It was close to the beach and food. We were VERY surprised about parking. We were not aware of the limited availability or that it would cost 50+ per night for parking EVEN though we were registered guests at the hotel. It was an unexpected expense for this trip and added a little stress in planning activites.
