Staff is GREAT. Hotel is clean & it IS JUST TWO BLOCKS FROM A BEAUTIFUL BEACH AND WALK... Room smelled of smoke when we arrived, but we opened the window and it cleared up. Laundry machines convenient (bring quarters, or get them at the front desk). Neighbors will play loud music.. oh well (I'm not a swifty, nor am I 'just a girl'). TV didn't work, but I was okay with that until I discovered the internet was spotty (by that I mean it doesn't work more often than it works; I don't buy unlimited data- I'm cheap; hence me going with the cheaper hotel). My issue was that when we get back from a beautiful day & evening out exploring the island and I want to unwind, there's no tv and I can't even play chess online (It's not like I was streaming or anything); the net really was horrible. If you have your own hot-spot / phone/ whatever that provides the data you want, this is a good stay... for me, it frustrated the ever-loving heck out of me (and yes, I asked for help a couple of times and the answer was that it just was down and they'd look into it). Hawaii is beautiful and it was a great trip; that was just my main frustration.

The best value hotel in Waikiki area! Stuffs were very nice and helpful. Room is neat and convenient. Location is very unique and close to everywhere.

Staff were courteous and friendly. Thank you for the room upgrade. We also loved its proximity to beach,zoo, tour pick up, and several shops and stores. In-room food service was not good. They just left our orders on the floor outside the door. We did not receive any text/call to notify us of the delivery nor did they knock on the door to let us know that they've arrived.

Close to beach, room kinda dusty, musty smell I get in most of the hotels in damp areas that have drapes and carpet. Id stay again as price and location makes up for any shortcomings.

First impression was good with customer service. The lobby smelled really good. Eventually I started getting really stuffy and sick but only when I go to the room. When I went outside for the day I was perfectly fine. I realized it was only in the room and I kept getting progressively more stuffy as the week went on. I once saw the desk agent spraying air freshener in the lobby. What was he masking. By the time I got home I got totally sick from having stuffy nose and sinus infections. Don’t stay here. It’s not worth getting sick

So for the most part, my stay was not too bad. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room is a bit dated, but for the most part was quiet other than the ridiculous guest that I had to deal with next-door. But that’s another issue. What got me? The worst was my last day there having to deal with a cockroach issue that obviously I was not expecting to wake up to. I informed the staff downstairs about it and they said they would just let maintenance know. I honestly feel that there is a problem when it comes to roaches and if they’re there, they are everywhere. I unfortunately will never return back to this hotel because of that and I hope none of those bugs ended up in my luggage. I would hope somebody would reach out to me and possibly accommodate me for my inconvenience. I do have photos of that damn bug.
