Hong Kong Holiday Packages

Located on the Pearl River Delta of East Asia is a city that truly never sleeps. New York, eat your heart out: Hong Kong is a place where energy seems to seep from every crack in the sidewalk, from every neon-lit skyscraper and every side street alleyway.

But it’s not just the endless energy that makes this place an appealing holiday destination. It’s the food scene, the fun things to do and the welcoming nature of the locals that attracts visitors year after year.

Ready? So are we. Book one of Wotif’s great Hong Kong packages and enjoy an East Asian journey.

Time to Eat

If you’ve taken the time to plan a trip to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, you’ve without a doubt heard about the epic food culture. From five-star restaurants to street food vendors, the people that cook here know what they’re doing. Here are a few places you must try during Hong Kong holidays:

  • Ah Shun’s Kitchen – Some of the best places to eat in any given city are holes-in-the-wall, and Ah Shun’s is no different. Are you into seafood? You’re in luck. You have the option of bringing your very own fish from the market and have them whip up something with it, or just order off the menu. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
  • Tim Ho Wan – If you’re looking to eat at a Michelin-starred restaurant without spending your life savings, this is the joint for you. This place specialises in the traditional dish of dim sum, a combination of smaller plates like pork buns, turnip cake, steamed egg cake and rice noodles. Everything will be all right after a dim sum meal!
  • Mak’s Noodle – Noodles are almost as important in Hong Kong cuisine as they are in Italy’s food culture. Mak Chin-ming is a third-generation chef and has turned this little-known noodle shop into one of the area’s most well-known dining establishments. The hand-made noodles are served in a bowl of salty fish broth and taste like they came from the heavens.

Take a Mainland Adventure

Sometimes getting out of this massive metropolis for a day or two can be refreshing. Get a Hong Kong car rental through Wotif, book one of our incredible Shenzhen holiday packages and make the 17km drive to this great city. Go for a stroll through Fairy Lake Botanical Gardens and pay a visit to Hongfa Temple, a Buddhist temple located in the middle of the park. When your self-guided tour is over, check out the Shenzhen Museum, which houses a giant jade collection.

The time for an East Asian getaway is now, so reserve one of our sweet Hong Kong deals and get going already. Bring an appetite and a desire for adventure and you’ll be set!
