Hong Kong accommodations are pricey for what you get. Back home Chicago, this price would mean a decent room, but here a $200 room feels less than $100 hotel room. That said, the location is great — close to everything — and the AC and shower worked.

I wish the water heater lasted a little longer. The hot water only lasted for 2 min, 10 min of hot water would be enough for a shower. Aside from that, everything else was great.

This hostel is very clean. Conveniently located on main road with public transportation serving the location. Plenty of restaurants open late and convenience stores 24/6.

1) Staff was extremley competent, but not exactly friendly? 2) Clealiness was average but not up to western standards. Some common areas could use deep cleaning. 3) During hot months, the common area of the hostel was perpetually uncomfortably warm; just turning up the AC a bit higher would have made it nice. 4) hostel experience has changed a bit since 2014; people used to filter in and out of the lobby looking for people to explore the city together. Now its 10 people doom scrolling on social media.

Great staff and great location. The rooms are okay. There are no privacy curtains. Toiletries aren't provided. There's a fridge, access to clean water and several restrooms you can use. Quietness level is luck of the draw. Some of your roommates are respectful. Some aren't unfortunately. That's also the same thing with bathroom use. The common area is a way to get in touch with other travelers and it's perfect for people watching. If you like peace and quiet, this hostel is not for you. Close to everything. Keyboard is a bonus.
