Room was cold due to the AC unit not working and on/ off button missing on AC unit. Contacted reception who brought an electric panel heater to room promptly. The safe had a Broken fascia panel which meant electric wires were on show. Bedside shelf above said safe had delamination of surface. Net curtains were very dirty where they touch the window sill. Towels were not changed the next day so were still wet due to room being unheated when panel heater going off when card pulled from wall whilst not in room. Floor laminate had signs of previous water damage as was cracked and very uneven. We had booked an early breakfast as were leaving befor service time and was offered a take away bag which was a nice gesture, but for two the bag consisted of two bread rolls, one croissant, two items of fruit. It would have been nice to have received butter or margarine, jam or other spread and maybe a bottle of water or two! Staff were nice and friendly so no complaints there. Outside of hotel was quite bleak due to the rest of the large building being derelict. Overall not a place I would rush to revisit although very close to theatre etc

Very happy with location is tight for space if u want to store clothes but plenty room to live out of suitcase and hangers available The lights foxed me but had good fun trying to work then out ! Thankfully my partner was able to suss them tho we did have a disco for a while ! 😂would def book again

Excellent location. Very close to the Buchanan bus station, Glasgow Central train station and the main “downtown” area. Receptionist on duty was lovely. We arrived well before check in and she stored our large luggage for us until we could check in. Room was very small, we expected this, but was very comfortable and clean. We did not have the breakfast at this hotel as we had an early train and opted for takeaway options nearer the train station. Price was a little high for the room, however some of this is due to currency exchange rates. Overall, would highly recommend and stay here again.

Arrived early morning from the airport to leave our bags to check in later. The receptionist was friendly and advised as our room was ready she was happy to just check us in. This was above and beyond and very much appreciated! Room was clean and although compact had what we needed for a one night stay. Would stay again. Thank you

I stayed 23/12/25 - 29/12/25. The hotel as a whole was excellent. Although there are no hot drink facilities in the room, the reception staff are there to assist 24/7! They supplied hot drinks whenever required, and were giving out biscuits and shortbread over Christmas too! I had breakfast on Christmas Day, but ate out on the other mornings. It was ample for a Continental breakfast. The only thing I would like to see improved in the room would be to have a comfy chair or two. There was a kind of fishing chair, and a hard stool with a back which was kept fixed to the wall. Neither of these chairs were comfy for very long. I ‘borrowed’ a chair from the breakfast/dining room, which was fine and very comfy for watching tv during the evenings. The bedding and towels were changed every three days. Point A hotels are good and i stay with them regularly. This was my first time at the Birmingham one! This one feels a bit tired compared to the London properties. Possibly due a refresh soon. But was still a perfect base for my trip to Glasgow.
