I have stayed here before and had a great experience. This time (however) it was not quite as good. I had problems getting the temperature right in my room and this resulted in a heater having to be brought up for me - which was no problem at all for the reception staff. The quality of my pillows was extremely poor. All of the inner material had separated on all 4 pillows and this made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I was only staying two nights so don’t bother to let reception know. The 3rd issue is that I was staying in room 707 which I believe is set back in some form of alcove on the outside of the building and water was escaping somewhere (externally) because it was heavy dripping due to the rain - constant dripping all night. Perhaps there’s a drainage pipe that cracked, I’m not sure? As always though, the staff are super helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great!

The stay was great! Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Not to mention, we were able to check in early due to an early arrival for no additional cost which not a lot of hotels do. So that was very much appreciated!

The sausages & bacon were delicious! in fact everything I ate and drank at the hotel was delicious. The hotel room was spotless. Good selection of drinks in my room, and great to have complimentary drinks in the bar Loved the pool table. Made the evening lots of fun which doesn't normally happen on a business trip.

Room cold. Bathroom cold and had no shelves. Wash hand basin very small. Light above shower flickering. Toilet slow to flush. The latter two were fixed but the light began to flicker again later in the evening. Breakfast - had to ask for milk and cereal spoon (when the arrived they were soup spoons). Only one black tea bag. Wakened up at 6.15am with building works.

Poor natural lighting, had to have all room lights on even when it was daylight. room should basically be advertised as windowless it was that poor. Horrible. Room was noisy with water sounds/building plumbing and there was also a buzzing/static noise from bedside socket. Marks on every wall. Bed was really uncomfy and hard - pillows were like bricks. I liked getting a beverage voucher for declining room service… everything else was either average or poor. Wouldn’t stay again, had much better stays in ibis budgets. Much better hotels in the area for the same or less money. Higher floors may be better but inner rooms on 2nd floor are terrible.
Barely any light at 10am due - basically windowless.
Other room can see you.
