On the internet it said soundproofed rooms. However we could hear next door and above conversation.Their beds squeeking and them moving around. Bathroom was very uncomfortable when using the toilet.

Spacious room, clean & comfortable. Slight smell of damp when I entered the room, but soon got used to it. Opted for continental breakfast as I knew I’d be eating a substantial lunch later - ok, if a little limited. Convenient for access to transport to central Glasgow, and easy walking distance to SEC campus.

There is no restaurant!!!

Very pleasant Receptionist taking flack from customers because of errors in the hotel description on Hotels.com. Elderly female traveller had to wander in the dark in an unknown area to find somewhere to eat. There are pictures of a restaurant set for dinner on the web site. Smokers and many cigarette ends on the street because there is no smoking area as described. Young couple left on the street because their room had been booked by someone else and they could not pay £100 deposit.

I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. The area in close walking distance had enough restaurants and enough variety for the length of my stay. If I had stayed longer I probably would have needed to travel further. There was a bus line on the street, which I used once without problems. The room was good, no complaints. The staff was good.

Only good if you’re a heavy smoker

The room and service was fine, but had a terrible smell of cigarette smoke despite the window being left open. Got worse during the night. Wouldn’t recommend the rooms in the basement for this reason - unless you are a heavy smoker. A shame.
