I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the entrance is 3 steps without a hand rail. If I was 20 years younger and my balance was better it would be a 5, Otherwise it is very enjoyable there

We were at the Lucerne for a hospital procedure at nearby Mt Sinai Morningside Hospital. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and ensured we had a quiet room tucked away in a corner. The room and bathroom was spotless. The hotel has an "old world charm" that is very distinctive and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable too. The bathroom isn't ultra modern, but the fact that it was spotless made up for that! We loved the countless restaurant options just around the corner from the hotel and the easy access to the subway, Central Park and the Natural History Museum was also an unexpected bonus!
