Hotel was in a superb location - just opposite the train station and so within walking distance of all attractions. Hotel is old, but the bed was comfortable and there was a bath/shower. The breakfast was brilliant and had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend.

We had a room with view on Princess Street anf the Edinburgh Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed watching all the hustle and bustle on street below and the views of the castle also in the evening when it was lit up! Room was clean resturant on site delicious The room itself had an old antique feel

My stay at the Old Waverley Hotel was excellent. The hotel is very well located, right in the heart of Edinburgh, making it easy to explore the city's main attractions. The views are absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the beautiful Edinburgh skyline and historic landmarks. Old Waverly has a beautiful front facing view of Old Town and Edinburgh Castle. Upper floor rooms were recently renovated and ours was very nice. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Very walkable location.
