Hotel staff was efficient, friendly and responsive, some of the best service I have ever had. Our suite was very nice but could use some maintenance, i.e. hot tub did not work. vanity light came on and off. Maintenance staff was prompt in responding but maybe overworked?

Our experience at Hotel Nelligan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. To our surprise and delight, we were upgraded to the penthouse suite, which was absolutely stunning spacious, beautifully designed, and complete with breathtaking views of Old Montreal. Every detail of our stay was perfect. The team went above and beyond at every turn — always friendly, helpful, and eager to ensure we had the best possible experience. Whether it was thoughtful touches in the room or top-notch recommendations around the city, we felt truly taken care of. We can’t recommend Hotel Nelligan highly enough and are already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you to the incredible team for making our stay so special!

Location location location

I stayed at this hotel before in 2016 and had a wonderful time. So it was my only choice when booking a return trip. The rooms are beautiful and the location can’t be beat. The only 2 hiccups that give me pause- there was no hot water our last morning there. Zero. Ice cold. And after an earlier mishap upon check-in with our room, they gave us a complimentary breakfast (yay for customer service). When we went to check out, we found we had been charged for the breakfast! Luckily I had taken a picture of the complimentary card that we had been given. Overall I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel in Old Montreal

2nd time at this lovely conveniently located quaint hotel in Old Montreal. The staff are exceptional, front desk are polite and helpful, the room was spacious with quality bedding and roomy bathroom. Le Scandinav Spa was just around the corner for a little indulgence. Easy walk to the waterfront, and Commerce Way for shopping. Restaurants and little boutiques at your fingertips. Lots of roadworks so was happy for the valet parking. Will stay again. The only big disappointment was my husbands birthday dinner at their onsite Merchant Beouf Restaurant. They had no dry aged steak left and my seafood tagliatelle was too salty after one bite (chef agreed), and was actually a mushy premade mix as told to us by our server; shocking for the price. Even though it is a steak restaurant, the seafood dishes should not be considered an afterthought. I ordered a french onion soup which was equally bad. No broth as it had completely soaked into the bread leaving a thick, gungy goo. Inedible. We left and went for icecream.

Hotel Nelligan Montreal

Hotel Nelligan was recently renovated and was beautiful and an excellent value. Staff was friendly and professional. The Concierge, Jonathan Hug, is a rock star—caring, helpful and charismatic. They upgraded our room and provided complimentary extras on two occasions. 5 Stars!
