I really enjoyed my stay at Le Meridien in Downtown Denver. The hotel has great food options and is walkable to most downtown locations. My room was clean and the layout worked for me. It was noisy in downtown Denver at night, but quiet in the middle of the night and mornings.

Room Not Cleaned & Disappointing Daily Fee

I stayed at Le Méridien for 4 nights and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations. While the front desk staff were friendly and I appreciated having a refrigerator and safe in the room, there were key issues that left me disappointed. My room was never cleaned, despite being away for hours midday. I returned twice during lunch hoping to rest, only to find the room untouched—and no quiet space available elsewhere in the hotel. It still wasn’t cleaned by 5 PM. I was offered 5,000 points at checkout, but it didn’t reflect the inconvenience. Most frustrating was the $25 daily “destination fee.” While it could be used for food or drink, I felt pressured to dine at the hotel to avoid wasting money I was charged upfront. A basic room service breakfast was $40–$52 before applying the credit (and included an excessive $7 room service fee). I would have preferred the freedom to explore local dining options without being locked into this charge. The hotel has potential, but between the uncleaned room and the mandatory fee, it didn’t meet expectations.

It was right at midnight and apparently the day booked changed to the following day right after midnight so it booked me for the following day. Talked to Expedia within two minutes and they canceled the mistaken reservation and switched it to the correct day. However the hotel refused to cancel the mistaken reservation which was only on the computer for 3 minutes when Expedia canceled it and changed it. As a result I was charged by the hotel for my Friday night stay and also charged for the mistaken and canceled reservation that was only on the books for 3 minutes because they have a no cancelation policy within 24 hours- even knowing it was a mistake, canceled and rebooked by Expedia and I was fully charged for the second day with no apology, no partial compensation and no empathy. Thank you Expedia for your professionalism and superior customer service experience. Le Meridian could learn from you all……won’t be returning.
