During my stay, there was no housekeeping. I was absolutely shocked to find out that when I showed up 1 hour before check in that it would be $55 to check in to the room. The staff was friendly, but not welcoming or warm. The parking, only valet, was the most expensive in Dallas. I know this because I checked all surrounding hotels. Not only expensive, I asked the approximate time to get my car and was told 15 minutes max. I had a scheduled business meeting that I expected to be 30 minutes early for, but after waiting 50 minutes, I went to my meeting only to find that the other party had left after thinking I was not going to show up. The hotel was dated and issues with draining tub/shower and has not been updated in a couple of decades

The windows haven't been cleaned from the outside in ages. There was a dead bird on the outside windowsill that had bee there for some time. The TV remote control did not work. I had 1 channel (ABC) and it was too loud.

A terrible night's sleep

I'm going to be a bit harder on this hotel because it markets itself as a high end property. Location was great - in a safe and attractive area and very walkable to lots of restaurants, bars and the theater we were in town to see a concert at. Staff was friendly, and the price was good for a Downtown property... But those mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Hard as a rock! Marketed as a queen bed, but it was more of a long full. One of those old spring mattresses that I'd expect more at a Motel 6. My spouse and I tried to share the bed, but two of us barely fit - and every single movement woke the other one up (we actually took turns sleeping on the floor). A terrible night's sleep. We were on a high floor, but the exterior windows hadn't been washed in a long, long time. Years of caked on grime on the outside so the views were terrible. And the rooms were really, really drab. Dark rooms with beige and brown tones and no color or personality. Sink wouldn't drain and toilet required us to open the lid and adjust the floater after every flush or else the tank wouldn't fill back up. If this was a budget hotel, these things would be more in line with my expectations...but I was very disappointed by this property. I'm used to more attention to detail, more contemporary mattresses and general wow factor from Downtown hotels in major US cities.

This is our favorite place to stay. Consistently GREAT! However this time we had an uncomfortable mattress. Very clean. I wish they had a restaurant though- the coffee shop next week is not enough

Hotel was okay. Needs some major updating - TV for starters. Most hotels have a smart TV or at least a channel guide and this one did not. Overall decor was very dated as well. I would consider this a good budget option for the area.
