They had a party in a function room below our bedroom, which no one told us about. The music and general noise was so loud. Took ages to get though to reception. Didn't finish until after 12.15

Lovely hotel

Loved staying here, very clean and tidy and great for the kids. Lovely breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant. Nice and quiet and a fantastic location. Only downside was the lift wasn’t working. Managed fine up two flights of stairs but with the kids and their many bags it would have been easier in the lift. And there was a slight gap under the shower screen so the bathroom floor ended up a little wet after a shower.

We have visited this hotel on several occasions and it is lovely to see it after the refurbishment. It has been done to a very high standard and the dining options available are excellent.

We upgraded to a junior suite but shouldn’t have bothered. Room was tired and in a separate building to the hotel. Had to keep contacting reception for items that weren’t in the room. No water. No ironing board. Half the snacks missing. Our room wasn’t serviced either. Housekeeping were in the corridor but didn’t come to us. Had to find someone and ask them. This delayed our evening plans. This was the second time we’ve stayed at the hotel. Not sure we’ll bother again. It took an age to check in, nearly half an hour.

Great location. Parking a little pricey. Staff really attentive and helpful. Especially when air con went a bit made. Was sorted within seconds using their what’s app contacts. We also had afternoon tea - that was delish and just the right portion sizes. Room was clean although some areas would benefit with a bit of tlc. It was fine for me for one nights. I would have prepared nice coffee bags - I I usually carry my own but forgot. And water and biscuit may have been a nice touch but again I got a really good deal so can’t complain. However these are what you would expect in a 4* had you paid full price. Had a lovely night away. Nice treat on a Sunday night
