Ahhhhhhh, Paris.

First time staying here, but certainly not the last. Very convenient to the terminal and a great place to rest up before our flight the next morning. We were upgraded to a room that featured a great view of the runway and ramp, which is great fun for an airplane nerd like me, not to mention the surprising number of birds with a jones for slamming into our window. Also, access to the lounge was included which was great as we arrived just in time for Happy Hour. The A/C could've worked a bit better, but not bad for European standards. Being right there in the airport meant we had time for a nice leisurely breakfast before heading to security check-in. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient.

The upside about the hotel is that it is sl conveniently located inside terminal 2. Very convenient. . The hallways on the floors were quiet and serene. I really liked that. The bed was nice and the bathroom was Marble. But unfortunately, our experience, just one night was clouded with what we didn’t like. Like most airport hotels, this one was pretty dated. making it worse, it was clear that maintenance in the rooms was not particularly attentive. The carpeting the room was super dirty and stained. I can’t remember the last time I went to a hotel and didn’t want to take my shoes off. The shower stall had mold in the grout lines. This is an easy five minutes spritz by housekeeping with bleach or a mold, retardant and makes a difference between whether a guest feels like they are in a clean environment, or not. Additionally, simply getting a glass of wine to take to my room was extremely difficult. We went to the bar, as usual, to pay for one and was told that we had to order it for room service instead. So, Jetlag, as we were, we had to wait for the usual room service time just for a glass of wine. That was both inconvenient and unnecessary. When we checked in, we were asked by the front desk what time we expected to check out and we complied. However, from 8:30 in the morning until we checked out, we kept getting knocks in the door by hotel staff – – first housekeeping, then the bar man looking for the tray that served our wine the night before. All before 9:30.

If you’re traveling out of Charles de Gaulle airport, this is a great place to stay. It’s walking distance to the rental car drop off, and then to the gates at Terminal 2. Nice restaurant and bar. Very comfortable. Nice staff.

This hotel is great because you can wake up and walk straight to your plane. It is very quiet and the bathroom is nice. I just wish they had drinks or snacks in the mini fridge. It’s a little frustrating when you are on a different time. They do have room service, but when you are dying of thirst and you order 2 drinks, you have to wait to get them delivered and the cans are only 6 or 8 oz. A little frustrating. Other than having to drink warm tap water it’s fine. Just bring your own drinks and put in the fridge.

Pros: The hotel location is perfect for flying out. We were an easy five minute walk to the Delta counter. Room was comfortable and quiet. Cons: Food options are limited and pricey. We actually used a meal delivery service and it was a bit tricky routing them to the hotel, but it worked. My major complaint was as the deposit amount required for incidentals. We had prepaid the room. The deposit charged was $200 Euros ($233US). I was shocked. Nowhere prior to arrival was that amount mentioned. I felt like we were stuck paying it because we were at check in and prepaid, and we are now waiting for the charge to be removed from my credit card.
