I was appalled with how dirty the property was. The dining area and outside seating glass was filthy and I was there for 3 days and 2 nights never saw anyone clean. The plants are all dead outside. That’s Ghetto. There was no pool or jacuzzi or gym! The place said they had a restaurant/BISTRO…it was a cafe counter to order coffee/a drink/or a skillet with scrambled eggs. It was so over priced to stay at this place considering all of this. I had to go get a resort pass for my entire family to use THEIR Pool Jacuzzi and Restaurant bistro for the Bonvoy next door and stayed over there my entire stay because I was embarrassed that I brought my family all the way from Pasadena to Pismo to stay at a run down hotel. Those resort passes were 220 dollars A DAY for four people. The only thing good about the Sandcastle was the staff at the cafe. Shane who was at the counter and Mau who was cooking, they were friendly and very cordial. AT LEAST GET A JACUZZI.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and its location. It is next door to some expensive hotels which is great because you get the same accessibility to the beach, pier, and all the eateries for a much more reasonable price. The hotel is clean and high end, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There’s two nice decks with lots of relaxing seating and several fire pits. Most importantly, it is in a safe area, and you feel very secluded. We will definitely be coming back.

The location, amenities, and cleanliness of the hotel were perfect. Cool vibe, comfort, and awesome patios with fireplaces facing the beach. But the staff were even better. Welcoming and professional from Hello. Jason especially. We arrived early arriving so left our bags with them and roamed town for a nice lunch. When we checked in later, they had already delivered our bags to the room! How often does that happen? Needless to say we’ll be back for sure.

Setting was amazing, the patio area with wind shield and firepits (some don't work) a great place for coffee or a glass of (overpriced) wine. The Deck (restaurant) food is mediocre, and is understaffed, and they don't allow outside food on the patio area. Coffee in room and restaurant was really bad.

The staff are friendly and the area is gorgeous! The rooms were a little bit dated but still comfortable and nice. It says queen beds, but I’m almost positive they’re full beds. The shower had good pressure and the toiletries smelled pleasant and felt luxurious. The rooms needed to be worked on as there was some wear and tear you could see at the edges of everywhere. The little deck you can sit on attached to the room is simple but comfortable and the view you can see really is stunning. Additionally, the small walk to great food and the pier was quite fun! I wish they had more food options available at the hotel as their snack menu was limited. The hot chocolate was chocolate flavored water but the coffee was fine. Parking was great! They seem to enforce guests only! There are no fires allowed on the beach you stay on (though I did see people do it), but 5 minutes away there’s Grover Beach where you can drive on the sand and build bonfires. The 7/11 had all the supplies you’ll need. The hotel offers s’more packages and has a comfy outside seating area with gas fires to lounge. Overall, it was a great stay!
