We stayed a second time at this resort (10 nights first time and now 11 nights). Very easy to get from the airport without a car (free airport shuttle to Old Town and Coaster train to Carlsbad).
In Carlsbad it was around a 5 min walk from the station to the hotel.
If you have no car you can walk about 15 minutes to the grocery store if you would like to cook.
Thereās plenty of dining options around!!! Everything is very near the hotel.
The hotelās territory is beautiful and clean, very green with palm trees and flowers. Thereās a little pool, hot tub, fitness center, and fire pits outside where you can relax after sunset.
Rooms are very beautiful and comfortable ( TV set in every room).
We rented 2 bdr units with a kitchen both times. I saw there is a kitchenette in every 1 bdr unit as well but you may need to double check this before booking.
We had a full set of kitchen utensils plus pots, pans, can-opener, etc, along with a full stove and oven, and a full size fridge.
Every morning you can get breakfast at the front office. Thereās juice, yogurt, doughnuts and fresh fruits, snacks.
Front desk people are very friendly and helpful. They are available from 7:00-23:00.

One downside was the internet lagging or cutting out frequently in about half of our unit this time.
Otherwise, it is incredibly ( few steps) near the ocean and our favorite place to stay! Thank you!!!
