Very unsafe area. Lots of thugs and beggers around. Had the plesure of seeing a thug smoking a crack pipe at 10am on the benches opposite the carpark exit in the morning. Cut the trip short by a day.

Overnight stay

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The room and bed were big. The duvet was too thick for the summer and the bed was a bit lumpy. I did sleep well for most of the night though. Although near the lift they didn’t disturb me but they did my husband. The shower was lovely but longer shower curtains are needed or a mat to absorb the water that comes onto the bathroom floor. We didn’t order any food so can’t comment. Would probably stay again if ever in Cardiff.

Overall a great stay.

Bed really comfy, bathrooms lovely, very clean. Some elements are a bit tired, but overall a lovely stay and a relaxing break. The rooms are very big and spacious and the beds are very big too. Very good value for money. Downside is the parking charges, breakfast cost, and £10 each for each time you want to use the pool. Gym is free though. The staff are very friendly and very smartly turned out.

My son and I had an absolutely fantastic time. The staff are really helpful and friendly, whether it be checkin checkout, restaurant, spa, the odd cleaner about..all were always smiling and happy to help. We cant wait to stay again!! One thing id like to put in however is the pool area needs some maintenance. The pool itself is lovely but the railing to enter the pool at the far side is very loose and shaky and one bolt very close to coming out. Gave it a go but it wouldnt turn. Also at the near end next to a floor vent of the pool is a hole about 4 inches by 4 n roughny what felt like a good half of an inch deep and quite sharp if your feet hit it the wrong way. To me, these things are minor but some people may complain. We will be back as soon as possible regardless..just wanted to let you know. My autistic son didnt want me to say anything at the time as it embarrasses him. The facilities overall are fantastic and the rooms spacious clean and lovely. Thanks again to all the wonderful staff 😀

Terrible for the price. Worn out hotel, aircon not working in room - baking hot. Reception didn’t have any rooms with working aircon they could move me to. Pool was worn out, pain peeling, steam room mouldy and they had the cheek to charge £10. What kind of hotel charges for the use of the pool.

Do yourself a favour and stay far far away

I paid for a SUPERIOR room in a FOUR STAR HOTEL. The room I was given was over 30 degrees (including the night) and so humid you could bite the air, humid enough that my bedlinen was actually damp from it!!! AC not working (or even vent really considering the dampness) Receptions reply? Well, we are aware of this issue in some of our rooms. We don't have another tonight we can move you tomorrow. Or we refund you and there are properties available in the city. Obviously the price difference of anywhere between 50 and 300 euros for 1 night at that point would be my expense if I took that! But oh they provide a cooler (the one that works with water) - result? It does absolutely nothing above 30 degrees beyond making the room EVEN MORE HUMID!!! Who has the money for that even without considering the insult of that reply. So I spent the night barely even able to breathe in the room (forget sleeping), any attempt at a cooling shower absolutely futile as the coolest water the shower was able to produce was near scalding! W/hen asked why they are selling theses rooms when they are very aware of this issue the reply was well that is a question to the head office. I had bad hotel stays before. THIS is by far the worst! Instead of a good night sleep I had straight up TORTURE!

Couldn't check in made to sit upstairs for 2 hours to wait. Room was really cold was warmer to sit in reception, the staff & manager was incredibly rude, mine and my partner's belongings was in reception the next day! Didn't give us time to sign out! Money was left in the hotel as I thought it was secure and it was taken off the bedside table by the cleaner.. the whole stay wasn't worth the stress and hassle. £21 for parking, £42+ for add on breakfast. Would recommend you save your money and go abroad.. Would not recommend

Extremely Disappointing Stay Due to Unbearable Heat I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel warrants one. The air conditioning in my room was not working, and the alternative provided—a portable unit—was completely ineffective. It was dirty, noisy, and only managed to circulate more hot air around the room. The heat was unbearable, making it impossible to relax or sleep. To make matters worse, I was told by reception that a fan would be brought to the room. That never happened. When I followed up, I was casually told to take it up with management—an incredibly unhelpful and dismissive response. The only remotely comfortable part of the hotel was the lobby, which ironically had functioning air conditioning. It’s baffling that they could keep that area cool but not the guest rooms. Overall, the experience was frustrating and uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying here, especially during warmer months, unless they seriously address their air conditioning issues and improve their customer service.
