I had been to Laughlin before and stayed at three other hotels (one of them twice). I had also eaten at Golden Nugget’s restaurants before, but this last visit to Laughlin was my first time renting a room at this hotel. Overall, my experience was good. The rooms are not small, and both the hotel and the rooms are very clean. The staff were not very friendly, but they were courteous and helpful at times. We ate at the restaurant by the main entrance (I forgot the name). They serve good food. I ordered a chicken pot pie at a fair price — it was delicious. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which did not meet my expectations, so I sent it back. It was not charged, which I appreciated. The casino and the ladies’ restrooms were well maintained. The reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is because there is limited parking for disabled guests, there are no luggage carts available, and although workers saw us, they ignored us. Also, the bed sheets and pillows were not as soft as they should be. I have fibromyalgia, and this really affected my skin. The pillows were not long or comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Luckily, I brought my own sheets. I want to mention something very important that sets this place apart from others: smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms. This is a great benefit compared to other places, and those of us who don’t smoke truly appreciate it. Last thing — yes, I will be back. I still need to visit the gift shop and the swimming pool. Thank you,

My bf and I have been staying in hotels since April 25 due to extensive fire damage. We're paying out of pocket with reimbursement taking weeks and although resources are tight, we're fully aware of the $100 deposit so there's no need for the front desk to call and inform me that security will escort us from the property bc of non payment. We appreciate Jerry for being understanding and very gracious with our situation. Most of the staff has been very nice. I look forward to having better dialogue with the front desk staff. Thank you for being more than accommodating, we really appreciate it.

We stayed here as part of a larger group and overall the experience was okay, but there were several issues that kept it from being better. The hotel advertises newly renovated rooms, but that seemed to apply to only a small portion of the property. All five rooms our group received were very dated. There was visible mold around the shower, including on the walls and beneath the wallpaper. The beds had noticeable low spots from wear, which made sleeping uncomfortable. There were also some room assignment issues at check in. We were initially placed in a room with two queen beds instead of the king we had booked. Another couple in our group was assigned a room that smelled strongly of cigarettes, despite the hotel being advertised as non smoking. They did move both of us to a different room, which we appreciated. On the positive side, the location is convenient and the hotel has a good variety of restaurants on site. Walking through the casino floor was not overly smoky, which was nice since we had three kids in our group. Parking is also a plus for oversized vehicles. It is located across the street, but security patrols the lot about every 30 minutes, which helped us feel more comfortable. Overall, the hotel is serviceable and has some good features, but the condition of the rooms and inconsistencies with the “renovated” claim made it fall short of expectations.
