Arrived with our elderly Mother who’s claustrophobic and won’t use elevators so we always get a lower floor room and use the stairs. Was told at the front desk the stairs remain locked and can’t be used. Seems illegal to me in case of fires but??? I said fine, I’d like to cancel the rooms then. Was told it was too late to cancel so there will be no refund. I asked about the 2nd unused night and was told that wasn’t possible either. Expedia was able to refund the 2nd night but I am out of luck for day 1 being refunded. Very rude and disappointing service.

This was a fun destination for our getaway! We managed our expectations because of the price, but found out that this property was just a great deal. The room was large, clean, quiet, well equipped, and very accessible. Major pros: amazing view over the river, parking was free and easy, mini-fridge, TV with an extra HDMI input if, like me, you like to bring your own device to connect for entertainment. Huge tub, kind staff, affordable food options on property and within a short walk, good entertainment options, a nice car collection/museum, and the riverwalk was really nice. Minor cons: the casino floor - even the no-smoking areas - smells like decades of cigarette smoke (which did not affect the room), the tap water was a bit unpleasant and the bottled water quite expensive, we had an early visit from housekeeping just checking that we hadn't left (surely there's a better system). The casino could use a bubble craps machine. Conclusion: I was very pleased and would return. I definitely recommend this property. Don't stay if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke - it really is very strong and rather unpleasant on the casino floor. The good deals and kind staff otherwise make up for it.
