This hotel was kept well and clean. As the most expensive hotel I’ve stayed in recently, the breakfast was a disappointment. Queues to access due to the breakfast being included in all stays, and the selection was smaller and lower quality than other hotels of a similar standard. No egg for me as the only available option was scrambled, which was coated in pepper completely unnecessarily. They do have fresh waffles, which seem a lovely gimmick for kids, but I’d get the basic hotel breakfast expectations in place first.

Room was fine and Breakfast was ok. But it took a while to check in due to a que, when we got a drink that took a while and wasn't cheap. At night we didn't have a good night sleep due a very regular sound like a fog horn or a ship horn. Which we think was some type of air lock in the pipes.

The hotel was convenient for walking to Utilita for a concert, with parking so we didn’t have to face the exodus for the venue car park. Parking spaces were limited and narrow and we got the last available space when we arrived. The room was comfortable and shower good. The only problem was there seemed to be an issue with the wiring of the main lights in the room. When I turned the light off using the switch at the door the lights went out, but shortly after getting into bed they started to individually flash on and off, so we ended up with an unwanted light show! I managed to turn them off with the light switch beside the bed, so this clearly indicates a wiring issue. The buffet breakfast was good and plenty of it.

3 star hotel did the job. Good location only 15 mins walk into city centre. Ample parking and very close to sea world and Lego discovery centre. Lots of food options and shops within walking distance. Hotel was average but this was one of the cheaper options for the weekend so value for money. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We didn’t enjoy the cooked breakfast but made use of the waffle machine and continental options. Rooms could have been cleaner, carpets need a deep clean.

I had had an accident during the day and on checking in at Hampton Hilton Broad Street Birmingham receptionist Marie noticed that I was shaken from the day’s events. Marie was kind, sympathetic, friendly and very helpful. Marie made our stay even better with her kindness - thank you so much Marie your support was amazing and I really appreciated your kindness. Other staff members were also very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to our next stay very soon.
