this is the second year we returned to stay at the telegraph. It's a wonderful place right in the middle of downtown Baddeck. The Cable Room cuisine is unbelievable. Service including wait staff, cleaning staff and front desk superb. One could not do better for a holiday in Cape Breton.

Good motel at a good location in Baddeck. The room was nice but the fan was broken and when I asked, the staff were confused and then came by to check it out. Then the manager said that there was nothing to do and “it’s cold, so don’t worry.”

Although the room was small it was clean, the air conditioner worked well. This is a old hotel and it shows it's age. We found it pricey for what it is. Also, no breakfast on site. They did offer coffee at the reception desk in the morning but we opted out as we went to a restaurant for breakfast

We loved our stay at the charming Telegraph House. It was exactly as we’d hoped. Conveniently located in this small charming town and we could walk to everything. Staff was very helpful and our meal in their restaurant was absolutely delicious! Thank you for a great stay.

Mattress was worn out and lumpy giving no support for a good nights sleep. Only one lumpy pillow each and no second pillow to prop up to read or watch a show. Toilet sits crooked on the floor and makes a loud squeaky noisy when you open the lid...the seat moves around when you sit down. The screen on the window is torn so if want fresh air you get bugs coming in. The price is unreasonable for a room of this quality.
