Fabulous is the word I choose to use to describe this place. Wish I can give more than 5 star rating. The place was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed, everything inside our room was high quality, including the towels, bed sheets, furniture. Beautiful view from the room, very quiet place, shops and restaurants close by. The breakfast was excellent. They treat every guest with love and respect. I wish to go back and stay there for longer just to enjoy their hospitality. Thanks to Alain & Denise for doing such a wonderful job.

The breakfast experience was enjoyable and delicious. The vicinity to 60 miles of bike trails was a bonus. It was a nice starting point for driving the Cabot Trail.

Fiddle and Sea, a home away from home.

I look forward to returning to a peaceful place with gracious hosts! The room was clean and spacious. Everything I needed to feel at home was waiting for me including home baked cookies. Alain and Denise are wonderful hosts and paid attention u to o my needs. Breakfast was delicious stree a ted with fresh fruit, followed by a changing entree, tomatoes from the garden. Alain knows the area well and offered great advice as well as interesting facts. All of this topped off with some great fiddle music during breakfast. Thank you a thousand times over for offering me a home away from home!

It was nice owner took note of any food allergies. Asked about breakfast time preference - nice. Explained everything. Gave us history of area + played the fiddle for us. Breakfast was lovely. All homemade + special.the Red Shoe Pub in Mabou was great too! A must do!

The Fiddle and the Sea was a great place to stay in Port Hood - and one of the best accommodations we had on a long east coast trip. The hosts were lovely, breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were clean, beds comfy. Everything was perfect. Port hood is a great base for Cape Breton - highly recommend.

Excellent hospitality

Alain and Denise were very welcoming. The stay was very comfortable with great views from room 1 on the front of the ground floor. They catered a very tasty vegetarian breakfast for us. Alain even treated us to a rendition on his fiddle.

Wonderful owners (knowledgeable and accommodating). Excellent breakfast with live fiddle music and a slide show of local history. Will be recommending this B&B to my family - wish we had stayed 2 nights!
