We found this hotel to be in an excellent location. There were many cafés and restaurants within walking distance. And it was an easy walk to Central Station and the Anne Frank house.

We didn’t expect to live this hotel, but the people were so friendly that we didn’t want to leave. The lobby/bar has a very fun vibe, delicious coffee, drinks, and a light menu. Beds were comfy, and everything was super clean!

The staff was very nice and the property is in an amazing location. However, we were a bit disappointed with the room. The blanket on the bed and some towels were stained. There was a strong perfume smell that was obviously covering a bad smell. Sure enough, a day in, our room smelt like sewage.

My husband and I reserved the honeymoon suite and wow was it cool. A round room with a large tub with water jets, led lights that surround the tub and bed. Bed was a large king size and also round. The room had a great view of the bustling street facing the Vatican church entrance. Although it was a busy street we closed the windows and it was remarkably very quiet. The bathroom had a glass shower that had a view of the bedroom and inside of the bathroom. It was also the only hotel we stayed in that had a bidet. The room had robes and slippers for us both to use. It was nice to soak and relax in the tub after walking all day. My only wish was that the water got hotter. It was warm but I really like hot water. Paul who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful when suggesting things to do and see in the city. I would stay at MDM Guest House again next time im in Rome. The closeness to the Vatican, restaurants and shops made the hotel easy to come rest when we got tired.

This hotel is amazing. Its charm decor and service was outstanding. Loved it wish we could have stayed longer. So highly recommend. Location is perfect and your provided lots of info on where to eat etc. this is a great walking city even for a couple of seniors.

Nice residential neighborhood, but walking distance to everything. Very small room and bathroom but they make very efficient use of the space with lots of storage options and even squeezed in a table and chairs. We got the canal view room and that was the highlight! Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great stay!

We loved our stay at the Hotel Sebastian and only wished we were able to stay more than one night! The location was great. The room was beautiful and spacious, the in-room sink is handy, and the bathroom is amazing with a shower big enough for at least 10 people! LOL! We were on the first floor which opened to a little private outdoor area. If we were staying longer we would have enjoyed some chairs out there so we could sit there and relax. We were delighted to get into our room much earlier than check-in time since we had come from our cruise boat and were happy to get settled before we started out on our adventures. Our early access was free of charge--unlike our hotel in Zurich which charged us $80 EU ($91 US) so we could get in our room in the morning! The staff at Hotel Sebastian's was very friendly and accommodating. The only issues we had was that there was no phone in the room to reach the front desk, and we could not find any reading lights over or near the bed so we had to get up to turn off the ceiling lights before we went to bed. Not a big deal...but it would have been nice not to have to do that. Some kind of nightlight in the bathroom would have been nice, too, for us "older folks" who have to get up during the night. One other piece of feedback would be to send less emails. We felt barraged by emails, but we loved Amsterdam, and if we are lucky enough to come back some day we would absolutely book Sebastian's again.
