"Fantastic location"
Walking distance to everything. While not right on the esplanade with a young family it was nice and quiet and the view was spectacular. Definitely more bang for you buck in terms of what you get for what you pay.

"Close to the beach, friendly service"
The location was nice. Very close to the beach. The rooftop was a good addition to the room. The staff was very friendly and got onto things quickly and effectively. However the kitchen was very disappointing. It was really hard to cook and the equipments and space were limited. Overall it was a good place.

"Great location"
Staff were fabulous. Apartment well appointed but showing its age. Stairs are uneven. Air con cools the lounge room but not really the bedrooms. Other good thing is the block is secure at 7pm. Key entry only.

I was looking for something affordable and nice, I was lucky to have found Mandolin Resort and the friendly management, a clean place with awesome facilities , just across the beach and impressive sea views, Walking distance to restaurants and RSL , just sublime, going back there in September school holidays, my two little girls loved it and I will recommend it to all my contact, its just not to miss. Thank you guys at Mandolin Resort doing a great job for us to relax and enjoy.

"Great location, lovely accomodation."
Great accomodation, and we will return. Two things I did pick up, there is a mould issue in the bathroom around the grouting. I really believe with just some bleach this would be easily solved. And the outdoor furniture seems to be standard in all the apartments, and when people on other balconies are using these the scrapping noise of the chairs on the tiles is very loud, if it's above you and the people are out late. Maybe rubber feet could be added? Other than that, loved the place and we would be back.

Ideally situated for couples and families, you can do as little or as much as you wish. Management are lovely people they couldn't do enough for us. The apartment was outfitted easily for cooking but you are close enough to Maloolooba for a decent walk and lovely coffee, lunch or dinner. Swimming pool was a gift in the heatwave that BNE was experiencing while we were there! We will return!

    Accommodation In Alexandra Headland

Looking to explore the Sunshine Coast? Then why not stay in one of our Alexandra Headland hotels? Conveniently located between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba on the famed ‘Sunshine Strip’, there is no better place to stay to be close to the action of the two hottest destinations on the Sunshine Coast.

Of course, there are plenty of other reasons to stay in Alexandra Headland. A charming little seaside resort town known as ‘Alex’ to the locals, this is the perfect place for a beach getaway. Expect great weather and temperatures with an average high of 28°C in summer and 20°C in winter. Come here if you want to escape the sweltering summer heat! The area is also known for having the shortest beach in the Maroochy district. With most tourists off visiting the beaches at nearby Maroochydore and Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland Beach has a relatively peaceful and intimate feel to it. Spread your towel on the white sand and relax with a good book or take a dip in the cool, clear water. Want to catch some waves? Hire a surfboard from one of the friendly surf shops or take a lesson in Surfing 101. If you prefer your sports on wheels, then head to the outdoor skate park just beside the beach. Bring your bike, skateboard or rollerblades or watch in awe as both beginners and pros perform flips and tricks on the park’s ramps and rails. The park is especially stunning at night when its concrete platforms are illuminated against the background of the crashing waves.

Just across the beach is Alexandra Parade, the main strip where most of the area’s hotels, restaurants and shops are. Check out the many stores selling surf gear, purchase some new swimmers to look your best on the beach, or just indulge in some new every day wear. Once you’ve shopped up a storm, take a seat at one of the restaurants, cafes or bars overlooking the beach; whether you feel like Italian, Indian, Thai or a good old fashioned seafood platter, there’s plenty to choose from here.

Alexandra Headland is an easy 80 minute drive from Brisbane. Once you’re here, it’s a quick six minute drive to Maroochydore or two minutes to Mooloolaba. If you’d prefer to walk and take in the fresh sea breeze, walking to Maroochydore will take you 30 minutes or 20 minutes to Mooloolaba. With some of the Sunshine Coast’s best experiences on your doorstep and heaps of family-friendly accommodation, wot’s not to love? Book your Alexandra Headland accommodation from our range below!
