Perfect location with ocean views and close to shops. Staff are lovely and the Japanese restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. Rooms are small and dated.

great room !! great ocean views. loved the location of the hotel, it was very easy to walk everywhere and nothing ever felt too far.

We liked the gardens and pool area, its proximity to the beach and Whalers Village. Unfortunately we stayed in room 326 in the 'Traditional' block. Traditional actually means old and tired. Our room had a door to an adjoining room and we could hear everything that was going on with the young family staying in the room next door. The bathroom was very old, the shower stall door didn't close properly. For some reason the hotel did not service our room on the last day of our stay despite us not putting anything on the door - they must have forgotten. The rooms do not have a full service each day apparently this is to conserve water. Sheets are changed every 3 days so on that day you receive a full service, on day 2 they make the bed, replenish towels, empty bins and on the 3rd day they are supposed to just empty bins and refresh towels.
