Lovely British style hotel. A little far from York station to walk if with big luggage but close to city center. Host was very kind and helpful, kitchen was really nice to cook some simple foods

Weekend in York

Excellent stay at the Hotel, the owner was Excellent very friendly and helpfull. I would highly recommended this sort stay in York, the distance to tge center is on the door step. The room was great, quiet clean, beds were great.

Great place to stay

Great stay very comfortable bed. Love that you can help yourself to more tea coffee and sugar and that you could have free use of the kitchen. Very close to city centre too. Would stay here again

It was quite dusty and felt unclean overall. Also, the shower drain didn’t work. Lastly, the single bed in our room was very old with visible coils seen through the sheets. Disappointed with this stay and wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Great Guest House! Owner was very professional and took the time to highlight key areas on a map for us. The room was clean and very well kept. The key tourist areas of York were all within walking distance. I would highly recommend Vikings Guest House to anyone looking to stay in York.

It was ok the host was welcoming and informative about the area and shown us our toom and how to access the front door for when we arrived back from our walk around the city. Although the room was clean the bed was not very comfortable but it was ok as we were only staying one night The only thing is that it should say to park on the street near the hotel cost £5 for 24 hours as we didnt find this out until we arrived

A convenient location in York & excellent value

An excellent, 'remote' check-in service, clearly explained in an email. It's great that the room had a 'coffee-pod' machine and even mints on the pillow...! Altogether, a comfortable room in a very convenient location in York at excellent value.

Very nice place. Access to a full kitchen if needed. Cleaning when requested. Staff even made sure I had self check in instructions since I landed quite late. I’d stay there again. Short walk to all the wonders of York!

Very efficient and enjoyable guesthouse

Lovely little guesthouse close enough to the action but quiet and a great neighourhood. No reception, or staff, they texted a code for the outer door and the key was inside. Compact but clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, the Nespresso machine was welcome. No bar or restaurant on site but there is a full kitchen you can use if you want to cook.

Overall positive experience at Vikings Accommodation. Jamal was very friendly and welcoming, and offered great suggestions on things to see and do around town. The room itself was very well kept, comfortable and clean.

Was a very comfortable stay brilliant contact with the owner prior to coming, check in is all done beforehand and all details to get in are sent via text. Accommodation very clean the only thing to stop me giving 5 star wad rhe noise coming from what seemed to be the water pipes which did keep us awake for some time but other than that it was perfect
