Good but not great, but has potential!
I arrived at the Wedmore and got the key for my room that I booked. When I entered my room it had not been cleaned from the previous guest. As each room is individually
themed I booked a warm and cozy looking room. Since the cleaning staff was gone for the day, I was given another room. This room was far from warm feeling, it was like a war room with swords on the wall. It was next to the elevator and the HVAC units. It was loud! There was mold in the bathroom, corrosion all over the sink pipes, and the bath tub did not drain properly, The robes were were old and the pillows were not comfortable (though that is personal choice). The in-room safe was locked. That was the negative items. The room had no mini fridge and no ironing board. Not a negative, but not a plus. Tavern was only open until mid-afternoon during the weekdays. The gym looked like a home gym. The breakfast was good but only limited to the quiche of the day, pastries and some drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Overall, I expected a little more out of the Wedmore. I will give this hotel another try as the potential is there.
