Bad - initially did not get the room type I paid for. Good - this was fixed. A beautiful island. The staff were very young and seemed inexperienced but extremely friendly. Activities were a bit disorganised but maybe I should say relaxed! The living reef is brilliant.Overall a lovely place to stay

The island itself was good, but the management doesn't really care about it. There was not tennis court or at least what was left of it - it was falling apart with no even a net in it. Half of the resort is closed so you can only stay on one half. Only one restaurant operating with one open one day yes and the other not. Breakfast was pretty low the bread toaster looked liked it hasn't been cleaned in a year. The room was ok, the were spider all over this including inside the lamp next to the bed, termite all over the desk and coffee table. The staff sometimes couldn't care about you and they were left to themselves to run the whole island.

The choices by the star rating are difficult to give a fair review, stayed Fri&Sat night , Fri we had “Fresh Local catch of the day” that was anything but, they removed from the bill Thank you, Sat we had “Slow cooked Rib at infinity and Oysters that was fantastic, great meal, the staff were all pleasant and helpful, we had a trip to the Spa that was fantastic, the bad part came to our Room , we booked a Superior King Sea View so we could have the doors open and enjoy fresh sea air and views , we were so looking forward to that , sadly the Resort SUPPORT SMOKING IN THE ROOMS , we complained 4 times over 2 days re the guests below our Room as they continually SMOKED CAMEL FAGS - MORNING , Day & NIGHT , even though we complained, nothing changed they continued to smoke at will when they felt like it even though we asked them to stop and requested the management to assist who said they would ????, there was no change , so we felt like we couldn’t open our door ever as the would fill our room Absolutely disgusting , sadly the Resort should have more control and not support smoking in the Rooms , this pretty much destroyed the weekend away is a lovely place , there was no follow up from any management even though we supplied photos and room numbers , so I guess it’s just too bad it’s your problem, not the selfish, non thinking a hole who defies thinking of others , as a non smoker you have no rights ….. be careful booking this Resort ,as we saw guests smoking on the pool edges

Booked a room with ferry transfers. Didn’t receive any information about ferry tickets before check in. I tried calling 2 different phone numbers for the resort over 10 times aswell as wotif who also couldn’t get through. Arrived at port Airlie whitsunday cruises they told us the resort hasn’t given them any information and to just book pay and then show the hotel the receipt and they will refund me the money. Ended up paying $170 for 2 return tickets got over to the resort all for the front desk to say no we only give you a return ticket you won’t get your money back. I mentioned multiple times how I tried contacting them and couldn’t get through no compensation whatsoever. Besides that loved the resort itself.

We had read some negative reviews and as we were taking our son and daughter-in-law with us, we were a tad nervous... up until the time the boat docked, we were greeted by a delighted young lady and directed towards the foyer where there were welcome Mimosa's waiting for us! What a perfect introduction. Then an efficient check-in where the same lovely person found us the best rooms she could... we were thrilled to arrive at our room which overlooked the azure blue sea, it was really heaven. When I read the welcome card - I'll have to quote it as I wrote it down! " let go of everything...for the next little while, this is home.. your sanctuary." And it was. From the amazingly great breakfast through to the delicious cuisine, it was absolutely wonderful. And hats off to the staff - nothing was too much trouble, a smile at every encounter. Even when we had to be rescued in the catamaran because we'd miscalculated the strong currents, nothing phased the two of them, just big smiles and 'you're welcome!' And the best was yet to come. By chance we met one of their lovely managers who said that it had been noted how beautifully dressed Jasmine and I were. She got some great instagram reels! Not surprising as she is a designer/producer of stunning resortwear and there's a possibility of an association in the future. It was a great trip and we will definitely come back soon. The island is basically only half open to what it was back in 2014. Dining options are limited and for some reason they have moved the SUP and Kayak areas to the other side of the island furthest from where the drinks and eating areas are. Staff are friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean.

Amazing stay outside the busy season. Beautiful Whitsunday surroundings and friendly staff. Main complex has been renovated well. The only two points to criticise where a slightly unloved other end of the island and an unimaginative breakfast buffet, that has lost its charm after the second day. Room for improvement here. But otherwise: we loved it

Lovely place. Not enough to do. Half the island was closed. Pool at the "closed" end of the island needs a good paint. Only has 1 restaurant option for lunch. Then going back to the same restaurant for dinner with only 1 other option. An option to order a light lunch or snack at the pool would have been nice.
