The furniture in the eoom was old and chipping. The room had a damp, musty smell to it. The jitchen had a rotting fruit smell to it also.

Aged but great hotel and right location!
Great room service and there was an issue with our bath tub draining it was resolved right away. The rooms are extra roomy and water pressure is amazing!

This hotel was great! The room had a small kitchen with a stove and full size refrigerator. What impressed me the most was how clean the room was. I have never seen a more clean hotel room in my travels. The front desk staff and bellhop personnel were very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is close to the monuments. When I return to DC I will be booking a room at the State Plaza. I really thought it was a great hotel.

The hotel felt safe and was extremely clean. We stayed for 4 days. All the staff was friendly. Downside was, although there are ice buckets in the room, you have to buy ice at the liquor store next door. Our tv didnt work properly and we were told a tdchnician would be sent the furst day, but no one came Although we requested housekeeping after our 2nd night, no one turned up until the night before we were checking out, so in 4 days we never had a change of towels or replenishment of coffee and water.
