This is a dated property and the carpet was torn at doors edges, the toilet was not properly cleaned and some of the edging was coming off the desk front---just an old hotel but not in a good way! The ocean view was great though and it was OK for a one night stay.

I know it’s off season but when we checked into our one bedroom suite it was bitter cold. Like we couldn’t even stay in there until it was warmer. Called the front desk bc the thermostat on the wall was completely off and thought they didn’t know it was absolutely freezing but she said we just needed to turn on the two units by the window. But even after 3 hours of them both being on full blast it was still cold the entire night. Also we wanted to stay at a place that had a restaurant and bar and went down there at 9 and they looked closed and the staff staid no one has been in for an hour so they closed. Again I get that it’s off season but that was the whole point of staying there. Property was nice and right on the ocean bin sure in the summer it’s great but they shouldn’t send people to a room that has no heat and is completely freezing.

The property is located on the North end of the Virginia Beach oceanfront and away from the noise and congestion of the boardwalk. The beach is calm and relaxing and offers more secluded beach walks than in the busier parts of the beach.

Pictures on hotels.com are deceiving whirlpool tub looked nice room looked good once there caulking around whirlpool and tub missing tiles, broken on hot tub ceiling lights had dead bugs in them table by bed had something clear and sticky on it deck had verneir loose and hanging outward this was room 830

Off-Season with my puppers

As this was an off-season stay, wasnt sure what to expect. The entrance and flow of traffic as well as locating te lobby was not very clear when first arrived on property. Parking was ample and available at streetside, the 'front' and in a garage. Staff was engaging and informative, was not pleased to learn at the desk about the $25 per dog daily fee. Room was clean, and was location and type requested. Restaurant had an excellent albiet skeleton staff. Breakfast and dinner (SEAFOOD!) were tasty and fresh! Was a little put off that coffee was $4 a cup for self serve in styrofoam cups. Did i mention staff was friendly and made the stay relaxing and fun.

We chose this property because it was pet friendly had an onsite restaurant & bar so we would have somewhere to enjoy new years. However, the restaurant/ bar was closing early at 10 because they were hosting a new years party in the ball room. The hotel was sold out so we didn't even bother letting them know the tv in our room half worked since we didn't plan on spending much time there. Unfortunately, you had to prepurchase a package to attend for $459. It included room dinner & drinks for 2. We tried to get tickets but was told the best they could do was $400 for us. That we felt was outrageous considering what we had already paid for the room and it was only $59 less than the special. They were very blase and unhelpful, we we basically told oh well. The next issue we had was it stated under amenities that cooked to order breakfast was available for $12 per adult $10 for children. When we asked about it they told us they were having a buffet for $21.99 pp opening at 9 but no they went doing the $12 breakfast. Over all we were disappointed in the quality of the service here. We will stay elsewhere when we come back for another trip to Va. Beach.

The room had white stains on the carpet in several places, a used wash cloth under the sink, very loud air conditioner, and old ugly furnishings. I was disappointed in the room, however the bed was comfy. They changed my room due to the conditions and the carpet did not have stains but again was old. The staff was friendly.
