Overall good stay

Check in and check out were great, parking was pretty good. They're updating so it will only get better. Food and drinks were good at the restaurant too. Pools were a but chilly. The negatives they didn't come clean the rooms give new towels, change trash etc. Additionally the workers doing construction need to be more carefully they dropped soemthing off the roof and it went down hit the glass over the pool and dropped into the outside pool. It looked like a 2 inch washer my son found afterwards and I had him take it out. But that could've been dangerous if it would've hit him or his grandma. Thankfully it just hit the water.

We were in the 6 floor annex. It was horrible. Our room was small, over crowded and the bathroom was impossibly tiny. The staff did not replenish coffee, soap, shampoo or towels unless we asked--when we could catch them. The elevator in our building did not work on at least two nights. We had to walk up and down 3 flights to take the dog our. We have stayed here many times and enjoyed our visits. But this time may be the last.

I enjoyed staff. They were very kind. They were short staffed in the kitchen so it made getting food and drinks hard. Also the location was so far away from everything so it was tough. I wish it was made more obvious that there was a shuttle to the boardwalk. Being so far away did help on the weekend with noise. Things did break. The elevator broke halfway through our stay and didn't get fixed and a sliding door was broken our whole stay. Updates were happening during our time which the building definitely needs. Overall, I would come again.

Great property for a nice getaway, the restaurant has some pretty good, the staff was friendly, we originally had booked a 2 bedroom oceanfront queen, online the oceanfront kings were sold out, I advised them of this while registering and they were able to accommodate our request for a king.

Solo getaway

Nice solo getaway! The ocean view was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The patio door was a little hard to open, but other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Nightmare from Hell

The room when I arrived was nice and the view was awesome. However, the staff was not friendly or nice. They had attitudes including the manager Dawn. John, and Gabe was just not making me feel welcome. I had to take out garbage for two days that I was there. No room service. My floor was not vacuum just dirty and no towels but 3 big and two middle ones left on top of the toilet bowl. I had to call downstairs for wash cloths and I forgot her name but she claim that she will call housekeeping around 9:30pm that is when my husband and I return back to our room for being out since 7am. The hallways were filthy trash everywhere. Dawn the manager refused to offer me half my money back but instead she insulted me by given me back some 22.99 fee taxes. After all the hell they put me and my husband through. I forgot the afternoon before we were leaving our door would not open. They had to call a maintenance man to fix our door. It was broken and I had to go to the bathroom down in the laundry. I do not ever want yo return there again. They do not sanitize or disinfect the rooms. No sweeping or mopping the floors. Nasty place, nasty people. I demand at least half of my money back please

The staff here is amazing, very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is old and needs an upgrade. Our toilet stopped working, just didn't flush, there were moth holes in the curtains so in the morning, little beams of sunlight would shine through, no usb charging ports anywhere. It's got a great ocean view, but the room was not acceptable and someone on an upper floor was throwing trash off their balcony.

This property is extremely dated and the photos are certainly misleading. The staff were welcoming and the few interactions I had with housekeeping were pleasant. I got a room with a jacuzzi but the wall around it seemed like it was falling apart. The baseboards were filthy and there probably isn’t much anyone can do to make it look better besides gutting it. The pool had clear markings of brown residue just above the water line and seemed like it was just being cleaned by chlorine. Our last night around 5am there was a loud sound like fan going on and off for a few mins which made it hard to stay sleep. The few good things about this place were ease of parking and location near the beach which never got too crowded.

We stayed at the Wyndham because my son and his Soccer Team were participating in the Virginia Beach Coastal Soccer Kickfest. Even though this time was just one night I for sure will book it next time.

A bit run down. Rusty towel bars, holes in bathroom wall and in valet area. Baseboards were in awful shape, deep scratches in cabinets. Fridge directly on floor instead of in cabinet space. The bed was very comfortable tho and hotel is in a good location

The North End is so quiet. If you want a relaxing stay away from the chaos of boardwalk hotels, this is the place. You're a short distance away (14 blocks) from the tourist area and it feels secluded.
