This property is right on the beach; south end by the jetty. There is a public beach access, and a well designed adaptive playground for kids next door. Although the building is somewhat old, it has been remodeled and is very comfortable, although the beds were a bit too soft for me. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. The (concrete) boardwalk is excellent for pedestrians, and the adjacent bike path for cyclists. It's an easy walk to multiple restaurants of all types, a car is rarely needed.

Budget hotel that is a good value.

Middle of the road hotel is right on the beach. It was clean and most everything worked. Nothing fancy here. But, the basics are covered. Friendly front desk staff. The hotel is at the southern end of the boardwalk so a little quieter that a facility in the middle of hotel row. Handy kitchenette makes meal prep easy. Kitchen sink had no cold water and the dead bolt on the door did not work. With that said, this is a good value, if you don't need lot's of fancy finishes.

We came for the Pungo Monster Truck Show. The hotel is the oldest on the boardwalk so ofcourse it was a little outdated. The stay was good but hot. The air does not get really cold so stayed 15 degrees warmer than the thermostat was set for. Thank goodness we brought a fan. Also, the elevators are small and no air in them either so the transport up and down felt a little claustrophobic. But, otherwise the hotel is in a good location and can walk to many restaurants and shops. Would probably stay again if we decide to come back to Va beach

My husband and I were on the lounge chairs by the pool outside. Apparently the table umbrella was not secured. It became windy and the umbrella lifted off the table and landed on me and broke. My husband got it off me. We told the staff and they removed it. I would have expected the staff to be more concerned with their guests. Otherwise it was clean and nice.
