We got an ocean view room with obstructions because they were having a music fest, the jets fit the whirlpool tub did not work, then we lost beach access for up to two blocks for the music fest. None of this would have bothered me had i known ahead of time but we had absolutely no idea and were not informed at check in time. I booked it specifically for the ocean view and beach access only to be dissappointed. Upon an early check out because of these reasons no offer was made to compensate us in any way. Will not be staying at this resort again

The Schooner Inn was perfect for my stay at the beach. It was a clean establishment with a kind staff right at the end of the VB strip on Atlantic avenue. Wasn’t crowded and in a quieter area. Oceanfront views were amazing as well as the view of the marina behind the hotel. Easy access to the beach and within walking distance of any shops or restaurants you may want to visit. Good parking. Heated outdoor pool was a bonus that we enjoyed. Absolutely recommend and will book this hotel again whenever visiting Virginia Beach.

My mom, aunt, and I loved being on the quiet end of the boardwalk at The Schooner Inn. Shontel was especially friendly and helpful, and made us feel right at home for our stay. Highly recommend the ocean view rooms, we will definitely be back!

We were in the ideal room on the ideal floor for access to the beach and the view, all at the recommendation of the young man at the front desk when we checked in. The Inn is an older motel but the room was spacious and clean. The only caution: the bathroom is very tiny. We did have a bit of confusion about when the room would be serviced and had to take it on ourselves to get fresh towels. We stayed 4 nights and the only time housekeeping visited was the third day.

Other than the door not locking the first night, everything was great! Great location, helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with an amazing view!! The staff was very accommodating and took excellent care of us! Highly recommend!
