A huge brand new pool completed and gorgeous! Veranda del Mar is a new, beautifully furnished, fully equipped vacation home in the north-side Villa Borinquen area of Vieques Island. Upstairs is a spacious living area with comfortable sectional sofa and flat screen, dining table and gorgeous kitchen. The Master bedroom has a king bed and high quality sleeper sofa bed and opens onto the veranda and ocean views. The second bedroom has a double bed and queen futon. All bedrooms are air conditioned. A large bathroom with step in shower is on this level. A wide terrace wraps around the house and faces the lovely ocean views and cooling trade winds. Downstairs and accessed via the exterior stairs is a brand new third bedroom with King bed and double futon, flat screen TV, coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge and second bathroom. Covered outdoor living space, with comfortable sofa seating, dining table for eight and laundry. Hammocks provided for shady relaxing. Yard is fenced, beautifully landscaped and there's plenty of parking. Idyllic little Bastamiento Beach is just a 7-8 minute walk down the hill. Beautiful property that is well maintained by hosts and managers that communicate in a timely manner, are kind and considerate and go above and beyond to help make your stay great! Our family of six had a great time in Vieques, exploring the island and its many beautiful beaches, snorkeling, being amazed by the bioluminescent bay. A highlight was coming back to the secure property where I felt at home away from home. The oven died one morning during breakfast and not only did they have maintenance out that same afternoon (on a Sunday!) but they had a brand new oven installed the very next day. As a homeowner I know that stuff happens and things break and I was amazed at the customer service and quick turn-around. If we are ever back in Vieques we would definitely want to stay here again and if you are visiting you should too!

We had a wonderful trip to Vieques and our stay at Veranda del Mar was a big reason why. The house is exactly as advertised, and was very comfortable for our family of 4 (two young adult children who appreciated having their own spaces). The pool was a perfect way to start and end each day. The kitchen was functional and well equipped for those night when we cooked at home. Sunsets from the upper porch were amazing. we used the new gas grill a number of times as well as the washer/dryer. Highly recommended.

Veranda del Mar is a magical retreat. We were so grateful to have discovered this amazing property. Our group was a total of seven, and this home was spacious, beautiful, and comfortably accommodated us all. Veranda del Mar exceeded every expectation.We loved its location, an easy 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to town (and ferry point) —yet felt secluded and quiet with breathtaking serene views we enjoyed every morning. A stunning reef beach is just a few minutes walk from the property. While we rented cars, we walked into town quite a bit. Inside, the amenities are outstanding, bright & light with comfy beds, quiet A/C for easy sleeping and a great kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals in. The pool is perfect for daytime relaxation or a sunset swim. It even has an outdoor shower to make rinsing from the beach a breeze. Every room is spacious and comfortable. Ron went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, making our stay truly care free.The town itself boasts a variety of dining options and well-stocked grocery stores. Julie provided us with a comprehensive guide to local attractions, dining recommendations, and even details about the farmers’ market—ensuring that we never missed out on what the island has to offer. We explored it all! We found every place we visited; we were greeted by the kindest of people, great food, and beautiful scenery. We can’t wait to return. Our stay at Veranda del Mar was truly an oasis.

Excellent house and property manager

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and very well appointed. The AC in the bedrooms was excellent and although the main areas did not have AC there was plenty of air circulation. The property itself was great and the pool was great. I cannot say enough good things about the property managers Ron and Rhonda. They were so helpful from everything with car rental to excursion suggestions and they were so hands on and even picked us up from the airport. They checked on us several times throughout our trip as well. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect House for us!

What an amazing place! This house was the best part of our stay. We loved the island for so many reasons but this house was our private oasis and, really, our best memories are from the relaxing times we shared here. Traveling with children is always work and we have 3 (ages 6, 10, 14). We were also traveling with my parents who are in their early 80's (not that you can tell- they are both incredibly mobile and in shape). This house had more than enough space for everyone. My husband and I took the master bedroom which is on the entry level and it had a fold out futon, which was very comfortable, for my 6 year old daughter. That bedroom is like a small apartment and has a great shower, closets, dressers, minibar with two fridges, and the bed: so comfortable. I need to find out where they bought that bed. It must be a California King size bed and the Linens felt luxurious. The room has great light and french doors which open to a more-than-spacious patio with nice furniture, and hammocks. Everyone loved the downstairs patio. It is also equipped with a washer and dryer. Upstairs you can find a breezy, open concept living room/ dining room/ kitchen. Windows abound with natural light, and ceiling fans- just in case. We had perfect weather and breeze every day and so we rarely needed the fans. The kitchen has a full fridge and is equipped with everything you need in terms of pots and pans. We cooked every night. When we arrived, there were beautiful fresh flowers in a vas

Wish the stay was longer

Loved the property. Take a short walk and you’re at a beautiful beach. But you can also take advantage of the beautiful private pool on the property. Everything is meticulous and thoughtfully laid out. If the sun is too hot there’s a shady area to eat and read and if you want sun there’s the upper deck to hang out. All with comfortable furniture. The property is safe and secure with locked gates. The house is well decorated and the beds are very comfortable. It’s perfect for up to 6 people. The house is within 5-10 mins of Isabelle where there’s great restaurants and groceries. Vieques has charm and beauty.

Can't wait to visit again!!!

This house was fantastic! It checked all the boxes for a week long stay on Vieques. Location, pool, comfortable/clean beds, washer + dryer, plenty of seating inside and out, beach chairs...this place has it all. The booking agent Julie was amazing and continued to give us guidance until we booked and connected with the property managers Ron and Rhonda. I can't say enough about Ron's availability whenever we had a question about anything (mostly related to dining, running, where to pick up this or that) We felt like we had someone we could trust in a place we'd never been to. His service went above and beyond! Looking forward to booking again for next year!

Probably one of the best in Vieques

This is simple...the property is lights out one of the best in Vieques since it's area is located in a hill with a view to Puerto Rico and Culebra, on a property that is brand new, with a new pristine pool, new apartment extension in the bottom floor, great wifi access, comfortable beds, huge capacity for a family of 6 to 8 people. For a person who likes Vieques because of the world class beaches, staying at night in a place like this is a must. I go to Vieques 2 or 3 times per year and this is my new place.

Perfect House!

What a great property! The pictures are 100% representative of what you get. This is a very new renovation, so the condition is 'as new' like the photos suggest. The place is also as roomy as it looks in the photos-- no wide-angle lens tricks. The property is impeccably maintained and very comfortable. The yard is enclosed by a fence, so it is protected from the wild horses and very secure. There are fruit trees that guests are welcomed to harvest. The first floor open area has the most amazing breeze and provides shade during the day. We spent many evenings in this open area. This house is on the Isabelle II side of the island which is further further from some of the really exquisite 'destination' beaches; however, the island is small and nothing is more than 15-20 minutes away. Also, there are many fantastic beaches nearby. The tradeoff is that supermarkets, restaurants, shops, services, etc. are really close at hand in Isabelle II. Make sure to try the Rising Roost for breakfast! I really enjoyed being further from the more touristy Esparanza. It was nice to meet local people and to be in a quiet neighborhood setting in the evenings. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and there won't be any traffic or loud parties nearby to spoil it. I was a little worried about only having air conditioning in the bedrooms. It really wasn't an issue as the house can be opened up to all the magnificent ocean breezes and stays pretty cool. There were two days when the air was still and it got a little hot, but the open area on the first floor was always breezy and cool, even on the still days. Plus, you can retreat to the bedrooms if you really need to cool down. The property manager, Val, is incredibly nice and a great resource for any questions you have about Vieques. She is a really big part of what makes the house a great place to stay. Book this house with confidence! My wife and I will stay there every time we go to Vieques.

Wonderful vacation rental!

The house was perfect for our family of six. It has a well-equipped and beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds, and a great assortment of beach supplies (towels, coolers, chairs, noodles). One of the advantages of this house is it's location on a hill. We never needed a/c because the wind blew a cool breeze through the house all week. The kids loved to run around in the gated yard and hang out downstairs on the hammocks when we were at the house. We definitely recommend the house.

We enjoyed staying at Veranda Del Mar while on Vieques. From the deck are nice views of eastern Puerto Rico's mainland and western Culebra. We also liked viewing the property's yard where several plants were blooming in various colors and fruit was hanging on a some. If the upper deck is too bright or warm you can retreat to the lower deck for shade, a steady breeze, and relax in the hammocks. Val and Julie were easy to contact and responded quickly to our questions both before the trip and on island.

Relaxing and amazing getaway!!!

My husband and I stayed here for a week. Actually extended our stay for a few more days. We were looking for a quiet and secluded place to stay. The Veranda del Mar fit our needs and exceeded. Val was great. She showed us around the place and answered any questions we had.Thank you Val. Loved the downstairs with the open breeze and relaxed in the hammocks. Beaches are close. Everyone we met were extremely friendly. Food was excellent. I even ran on the beach!! We will come back. We loved it here!

Great Property!

Had a great time. Everything we needed was provided. It was nice to have beach towels and chairs as we spent every chance at the beach. The kids loved the hammocks and the patio stayed nice and cool. The only thing it needed was ceiling fans in bedrooms to help move the air at night instead of having to use the A/C.

Beautiful home - We loved our stay

We loved our stay here! The home is beautiful with all of the comforts of home. (Besides the only air conditioning is in the bedrooms; which is very common everywhere on the island) The home had a nice breeze and fans so it was comfortable in the main living areas. If you plan on cooking, you'll find the cooking utensils you'll need and even a grill. (Side note: It'd be nice to have a slow cooker so we can start dinner before heading to the beach) The home was gated and very secure. There are nice views of the ocean from the main living areas and master bedroom. We enjoyed breakfast on the large, wrap around porch offering views of the ocean. At night, you can lounge on the porch and admire the stars; they are so bright! There is also a huge, covered patio beneath the home with a sitting area, hammocks and bar. The home had a washer and dryer which was great. We never had issues with electric or water during our stay. (Something I heard was common for the island) We always had hot water and never lost power. There is a beach perfect for families with young children only a short 10 minute walk from the home. (Shallow, calm water) "Town" is only a 6 minute drive from the home where you'll find a grocery store, restaurants, ice cream and pizza shops, etc. You'll definitely need a rental vehicle when staying here. Most nice beaches are within a 15 minute drive. All in all, this was a great home and we'd love to come back!
