We went mid February 2024. LOVED this property, not crowded, loved the panoramic elevator and funicular. My room in las Brisas was older but not terrible- view was fantastic. The wall art - a close up of a cruise ship railing- had a lot of mold behind the glass- really needs to be replaced! My husband fell into the sunken bathtub (which is also the shower) in room 3339- it was unexpected and a bit hard to distinguish that it was sunken. Housekeeping didn't vacuum the bathroom floor well and sometimes forgot to replenish the water bottles and all the towels- but nothing terrible. When we arrived, the front desk directed us to bring our luggage up 4 steps to the next level but neglected to point out a ramp that ran along the windows close by - I observed this same scenario during other people's checking in- weird. We took two SALT tours from the hotel. LOVED the guide for our 2 hr walking tour of Old San Juan ($65 pp and addnl $75 uber each way to old san juan). The guides for the SALT Rainforest forest 4 hr tour were EXCELLENT($135 pp including transport) but the locations they took us to were probably not the most beautiful in the forest. and loved the water taxi to Palomino island- the restaurant and beach there are fantastic! Beautiful breezes and found a perfect conch shell! But book early as we could not get on a water taxi our first full day at El Conquistador.

This was a phenomenal resort. From the layout to the amenities even the drinks were amazing. I stayed in a king bed near the marina. The boat ride to the private island was fantastic. Palomino offers some nice views, water sports and good relaxing places to sit and absorb the sun. I highly recommend this place.
