Things to Do in Versailles

Once you've settled in at your Versailles accommodation, the next step is a no-brainer. Get your bum over to the extravagantly gorgeous Palace of Versailles! Take a kingly (or queenly) promenade through the immaculately manicured gardens. Inside, glimpse the Royal Opera and be sure to do a little “reflection” in the Hall of Mirrors. Don’t stare at yourself too long, though we're sure you’re very nice-looking. Oh yeah, World War I ended here with signing of the Treaty of Versailles—no big deal. For a change of pace, visit the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon, and Marie Antoinette's Hamlet, which served as retreats for the royals and retain that peaceful aura today. Getting To & Around Versailles
