The staff here were friendly, helpful and polite. It was great having water dispensers in the welcome area and the location of the hotel was great. The rooms were basic but ok. Only having 1 plug socket by one side of the bed was problematic. The hairdryer in the bathroom became too hot to hold after a few minutes of use. There was no aircon (winter season but temps were warm) and no opening window for fresh air or air flow..the rooms were therefore uncomfortably hot. This was a real negative

Our room didn’t have enough towels or pillows. Both took a long time to arrive when we asked. There were some small bugs in the room and the sink in the bathroom were dirty. There was tea but no milk and only very small paper cups to have hot drinks in. When we asked for milk at reception we were rudely told to call room service and when it did arrived it was powdered milk which wouldn’t dissolve. Check in was abrupt and we were not told anything about the pool leading to disappointment. Breakfast . There was a huge queue which we waited 10/15 minutes in before we were offered to eat in the bar area. There was only one person working and limited choice of food which kept running out as well as the glasses. Replenishment was very slow. You could not get your own coffee, you had to ask and we waited 15 minutes for ours. By which point we were just done. We paid over £300 for one night, kids on a sofa bed. This hotel was not worth this money in any way and we were so disappointed!
